My #Flowers are dying and one of them was feeling bad enough that it just face-planted (no pun intended) into one of my new books I haven't put away yet... everything likes a comfort read I guess. #readingforpleasure#readingcommunity
I've been working on my query, and have been getting some pretty good feedback. But I want to scream into the void because now a few of the people commenting seem to think that they can judge a book they've never read based on a #wip query. Ghaa! #WritingCommunity#amediting
Problems with my new roommate have officially out preformed my introvert trait. I'm planning on actually making a phone call and talking to a frustrating and energetic person AND be confrontational about it. Wish me luck, because I'm not getting anything done living like this!!!
Let’s do another #WritersLift!
Drop your links or WIP plot so readers can find new authors to follow!
Don’t forget to like and RT a few other responses so we can all get a little boost 😌

People I meet always ask me what “genre” I write. Singular👀. But I write multiple genres (plural). Dark Fantasy, Horror, Historical Fiction, Apocalyptic horror & Fantasy-Crime Hybrids. When I name all these, they stare at me like I’m from Mars😂. So... what genres do you write??
Just got the nicest form rejection yet. Painful, but nicely encouraging. I'm going to rewrite my query though, I'd like to get beyond form rejections sometime...

Many of you write such eloquent reviews, worthy of being quoted on promos and such. I'm jealous.
When I write a review it's like, "Omg this book was so great and I love it!" My enthusiasm often comes through, but sometimes I wish I was better at describing what made it amazing.
Don't get me wrong
I want people to read my books
But if I'm self-publishing
I'm throwing that
write-to-market
advice out the window
I'm not saying you should
It's probably stupid
and stubborn
But if I can publish anything
I'm writing
the books of my dreams
As a reward for sending five queries yesterday (my first in ages) I made an author website today! I've had a lot of fun - it was like making a giant aesthetic. 😊 I'm going to bask in the satisfaction before I think about blogging... #writerslife

Why does it feel like no one wants to read funny short stories? Do people just feel like they're not serious enough? Why do they have to be serious in the first place? If they exist, why won't they let us read them in class?
