Did you know there are two types of rights issues and knowing which one you’re holding determines what you can actually do with it?

A renounceable right can be sold to another investor, often for cash

A non-renounceable right stays strictly in your name: subscribe, or it lapses

As Nigeria marks another year of independence, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering ideas, enabling progress, and investing in a brighter tomorrow for every Nigerian.

Ever wondered how to check what your investment is actually worth? Looking at a single share price only tells half the story.

When checking your portfolio, always look at your total number of
shares to see the big picture.

Attention is currency. The question is whether you are spending it or investing it. 💡

Our GMD, Nonso Okpala, frames it precisely — "Your ability to capture attention and convert that attention to value is a form of capital."

In a world where everyone is competing for the same eyes and ears, capturing attention is only half the equation. The businesses and individuals that grow are the ones who know what to do with attention, once they have it. They turn moments of interest into trust, transactions, and long-term relationships. 📈

Understanding how bonus shares impact your portfolio shouldn't be complicated. Here is a quick breakdown of how VFD Group’s recent 5:1 bonus share issuance works:

A 5:1 bonus share to all existing shareholders means 5 additional shares for every 1 you hold. Had 100 shares? You now have 600.

Change makers do not wait for the right conditions. They build them. 🎯

We congratulate our GMD, Nonso Okpala, on his well-deserved recognition as a DTN@100 Change Maker.

This honour, presented as part of Daily Times Nigeria's 100th Anniversary Celebration, is a reflection of the vision he brings to VFD Group every day, the culture he has helped build, and the standard he holds the Group to consistently. ✨

To our GMD, congratulations once again. The work continues.🔒

One year of RIDEE. 🎉

To mark it, we are launching a 5-part Culture Series; one reel for each pillar, that defines how VFD Group moves. We start where it all begins.

Respect.🤝

What The Challengers, authored by Dr. Eghosa Imasuen, makes clear is that respect was never a value VFD Group adopted along the way, but was a value baked into our founding story. How the early founders engaged partners, navigated relationships, and built trust in rooms that had every reason to doubt them, was rooted in a deliberate posture of mutual respect. 📖

A year of RIDEE has only deepened that. It shows up in how our GMD engages with industry leaders and in the calibre of conversations we host. In how we approach every relationship with the same intentionality, regardless of the room.

The impact we are building for Africa starts here. With how we treat people. Every time. ✨

Great journalism and sound business strategy both require asking the right questions.

Yesterday, we hosted the Executive team of Business Day at the VFD Group office for a thoughtful exchange on Nigeria's evolving economic landscape.📊

These are the kinds of conversations we do not take for granted; media and business convening in the same room with shared intent to bring about positive outcomes on a national scale. 🤝

The conversations that shape markets rarely happen on the trading floor. 🤝

Today, we welcomed the Executive team of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers to the VFD Group office. It was an afternoon of honest dialogue around the future of Nigeria's capital markets and the role of institutions in deepening investor participation.

At VFD Group, we believe that progress in this space is a collective effort; and visits like this remind us that the right partnerships begin with the right conversations.
