This bushfire season has already had devastating impacts on plantations, communities, and wildlife across Victoria. 15 AI-enabled camera towers were installed across the Green Triangle in 2024.
The network delivered:
• 311 alerts generated
• 103 unplanned fire events detected
Last week, 5 Forest Industry Brigade slip-on units from the Green Triangle Region joined a FFMV task force from Casterton that was deployed to the Otways fires.

#TogetherOnTheFrontline
As heatwaves continue across Victoria and South Australia, our thoughts are with all affected communities and emergency personnel.
Authorities have warned a bushfire in the Otways, at Carlisle River nearly doubled in size overnight and is within one kilometre of Gellibrand.
Fire readiness begins long before fire season. FIBs play a critical role in protecting forests and surrounding communities.
With extreme temperatures expected over the weekend, our FIBs are on 24/7 alert, prepared to act alongside other emergency responders.
#ProtectingTogether
With the recent fires across VIC our FIBs are on the frontline protecting plantations and local communities where we work.
Collaboration across jurisdictions illustrates how we work together to make a real difference.
