Mr @MulderCorn of the @VFPlus said that one of the key objectives of the Constitution is to promote nation-building and social cohesion.

"The question that arises immediately is whether the Constitution has succeeded in bringing about nation-building and social cohesion," he said.

Speaking during the #Constitution30 commemoration, Mr Mulder questioned the extent to which the Constitution has fostered unity and social cohesion over the past three decades.

During the #BudgetVote1 debate, Dr @MulderCorn of the @VFPlus called for South Africa to recalibrate aspects of its policy towards the United States, saying any reset in relations should serve South Africa’s national interests.

Dr Mulder also welcomed the fact that both South Africa and the United States are represented at ambassadorial level, describing it as a positive development for diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
