Stop the Machinery of State Killing! There are moments when silence becomes complicity. This is one of them. Veterans For Peace will not remain silent while the machinery of killing is being normalized at home.

The Trump administration’s anti-immigrant policies are enabled by practices created, tested, and normalized by all three branches of government on a bipartisan basis in the post-9/11 era.

"Down with Yankee imperialism!"
Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canel remains defiant against the US blockade, vowing that the country "will not surrender and will prevail" despite economic pressure.
The message was delivered on Thursday to the 30th International Seminar “Political Parties and a New Society," hosted by the Mexican Labor Party. The forum convened progressive political parties, leaders, and social movements from across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Europe is fast-tracking weapons factories, loosening rules, and mobilizing billions for militarization.
Will it bring the same urgency to climate breakdown, poverty, housing, and public services, or just keep feeding the war machine? https://t.co/rYqt90Cdun
Following years of threats by Trump and other Republicans to have her stripped of her citizenship and deported, agents with the Department of Homeland Security raided Rep. Ilhan Omar's home on Monday morning. https://t.co/vrXTyMPHqf
Here is Democrat Chris Murphy admitting he doesn’t want to withdraw US troops from the Middle East, but instead wants to reinforce US bases in the region. We are ruled by two imperialist parties, which is why the wars rage on no matter who you vote for.
Pax Christi NY: After a nor'easter on September 26th, the actual UN International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, we gathered on October 10th at Union Square in NYC to say no to nuclear weapons.
Three years after Al Aqsa Flood and active genocide in Gaza, we understand the continued struggle to Free Palestine from zionist occupation and oppression is inseparable from the broader fight against global systems of oppression.

Not only has the US never televised public executions in its history, but not even the Nazi defendants sentenced to death at the Nuremberg trials had their executions televised (it was deemed violative of the human rights that post-WW2 institutions were trying to re-establish).
The most amazing part of this is that Nidal Hasan is paraplegic and close to 60. So this disgusting spectacle will involve rolling him out in a wheelchair, then live-streaming his body as it's pumped full of bullets.
When I and others pointed out last night that public executions are carried out only by the countries we're told are the most primitive and savage (Afghanistan, North Korea), MAGA enthusisasts replied that we were too weak. Pummeling an old guy in a wheelchair with bullets -- as a reality TV show -- seems like an odd and dubious defintion of "strength," let alone an expression of the western values they endlessly claim they and they alone are trying to salvage.
Yesterday, an ICE agent opened fire in Marble Hill. They shot a member of our community in the neck while he was in his car. His five-year-old kid was in a child seat in the back of the car when ICE agents fired at least 7 rounds into it. This was in the middle of the afternoon, with children walking home from school and people heading home from work. Federal agents put every one of them in danger.
When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence. As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path. And instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police.
The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers. Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities. The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down.
In this district, there are mothers who are afraid to send their kids to school, workers who are afraid to show up for their shifts, and people who won’t call for help anymore because they can’t be sure who will come. That’s what it means to have a violent militia operating in your community. You don’t feel safe walking down your own street.
For decades, we’ve been told ICE can be fixed with more oversight, better training, or reform. But you can’t reform an agency whose purpose is to terrorize immigrant families. You can’t train cruelty out of a system built to enact cruelty. ICE must be abolished.
This moment demands that everyone step up. Elected officials at every level need to stop hedging and say it plainly: Abolish ICE now. Our city must enforce every sanctuary protection we have and city officials must ensure this cannot happen again.
TOMORROW, movements worldwide are coordinating demonstrations for Palestine, calling for an arms embargo, sanctions, accountability, and an end to complicity. See what’s happening near you! https://t.co/B2emugTTs8
Another woman is dead in Okinawa. And again the US military is to blame.
Over the decades, countless Okinawan women have been assaulted and raped by US servicemembers.
After the murder-robbery of Anna Yagi allegedly at the hands of a US Marine, Okinawans are left asking: How much more of their land – and their safety – will be sacrificed for Washington’s war drive against China?
