Happy Hobbit Day! 📖🌱 I is a great day to visit some old friends, and work on a cozy hobby. Today we are putting this beautiful Dragon Dreams quilt on the longarm. I am planning on doing a cloud and star quilting design. While listening to the Hobbit!

There are some fun new Sci-fi books out this month! 📖🪐 I have been enjoying Massif by Garth Nix, a favorite author, while quilting. The mix of analog and new technology is an interesting take on space adventure. It definitely makes a day of quilting a lot of fun!

We have been busy planning new quilts! 📖🪐 I enjoy the imagination Sci-fi brings in creating new worlds. It’s almost as fun as making a Sci-fi inspired quilt. Though we don’t have another space quilt planned, there is a Steampunk Dragon quilt in the not so distant future.

We had a lot of fun this weekend meeting some Indi authors at the Wandering Shire hosted by @wanderstar_bookmobile! 📖💚 It was a bit hot and humid, but definitely worth finding new books to add to our TBR.

The space adventure continues with some of my favorite Sci-fi books, there is something uncanny about the silence of space. 📖💜 Some adventures are best left in books, and with a colorful quilt! The starburst pattern is so much fun to make, and is such a bold striking quilt.

It’s almost summer, and ocean quilt season! 📖🌊 I love the magic and whimsy of mermaids, as they explore the world below the sea. Especially in a beautiful book, like @owlcrate Skin of the Sea. Books and quilts are great way to start summer vacation!

My next read looks great with a modern sail boat quilt! 📖⛵️ There is always something nistolgic about sailing away on a adventure this time of year. Maybe because we have been so busy lately.

We are getting the good fabric out today, and making bags! 📖💚 It is fun to try out new pattern designs, to keep things interesting. It also helps us learn new sewing skills, even when it is not a quilt pattern.
