If you're hurting, or angry, or just tired, don't go through it alone.

Tell God about what you're going through. Yes, He already knows. But prayer is the way we let go of the weight of our world and say, "Abba, I can't hold this anymore. I need You to help me." And God is faithful as our Heavenly Father to care for us.

I don't always have good days. In fact, the more I draw close to God the more trouble I have because of course, why would I expect Satan to sit by quietly while God does a good thing through me?

No, it's when I'm following Jesus that I need to keep letting Him take those heavy things more than ever. Because I can't grab someone else's hand in comfort if my hands are full of my own worries and pain.

So Jesus, as we live through today, remind us that when the weight is heavy we can come to You and just ask for help carrying the load. That Your yoke is easy, that Your burden is light. Not weightless, but light compared to what we've tried to carry on our own.
