After clicking the link to the Zoom meeting, it redirected to a download of Zoom.exe which i mentioned i didn't like, then joined the discord and opened up a ticket to verify, sent the screenshots posted above, asked if Jardas was official (although they weren't even in the discord) and got booted from the server and noticed all links to their discord and link tree have been removed.

"Don't trust, verify" is necessary to stay safe in web 3. Anyone that was actually official and looking for help would have no issue confirming the authenticity.

In doing some research, it seems like this isn't the first time the Sleipnir name has been used in tech, and had history with software developed in Japan, and even a mobile app out unrelated to this scam as the scammers just flipped the logo, and tried to copy Brave with it.

While their graphic designer did a nice job of replacing the brave logo, the claim is that @sleipnir_web3 has Ad and tracker blocks, VPN and a token, but in reality they have directly copied everything that @brave offers verbatim, yet with zero credibility.

Previously, the DM phishing attempts I have received in the past were "Play 2 Earn" concepts, derivative NFTs and copied versions of games such as @blastroyale (@BurstRoyale_NFT was the scam), now the attempted scam is a feeble bite of @brave with a cloned image of what Brave Browser already offers.

All in all, If you are new to web 3, keep your DMs off, and do your research. If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

As someone who has been socially engineered years ago, sharing the scams to help expose what people are doing will hopefully prevent another drain, or teach someone how to save themself from getting scammed.

I have been using @brave browser for years, know some of their team, they are great people in the space and have a lot too offer. You can also earn $BAT token in select countries by connecting Gemini or Uphold to your account, and turning rewards on for specific adds
