A fitting finale for Fabian Powell representing both @OakhamSch and Leics/Rutland Schools 🟡🟢 yesterday, at the 93rd English Schools Competition. He won the Senior Boys 200m in 20.80s, breaking the 1977 Championship Best Performance. @SchoolAthletics @OakhamSport 🔴⚫️

Perhaps the performance of the weekend comes in the senior boys 200m where Finlay powell won in a CBP of 20.80 (unfortunately windy 2.2) otherwise a world u20 standard - huge breakthrough for this lad in the last month..

Huge congrats to F7 student Fabian who won U20 100m & 200m gold medals at the Northants County Champs this weekend, breaking meeting records and Oakham School records in both events. Fabian’s time of 10.6sec for the 100m broke a school record which was set by C.E. Seale in 1970
