@ki_er_@GTAVI_Countdown Both will hurt each other but it'll be minor damage for GTA 6/Online and massive damage to FN numbers. All they can do is lock in and release the best Chapter ever if they want to survive this especially with GTA 6 Online releasing in December.
@Chibi_Jane@GTAVI_Countdown Honestly, I think it's gonna be affected but it's a live service game, so they have no choice anyway. All they can do is lock in and release the best Chapter they've ever made to try and lose as few players as possible especially with GTA 6 Online likely dropping in December.
@davidthe169@llilililllllill@GTAVI_Countdown Exactly I agree, but for the Fortnite playerbase, a new chapter launch is basically like a Fortnite 8.0 release, not just a seasonal update. Also, with GTA 6 Online probably releasing in December, it will be interesting to see how these two online giants overlap.
@llilililllllill@GTAVI_Countdown GTA 6 Online is part of GTA 6, not a standalone game. So your ‘Fortnite is a different game’ point is irrelevant. UGC doesn’t stop GTA from being GTA it just means you don’t have a real argument.
@llilililllllill@GTAVI_Countdown Except it's literally one of the most profitable models in gaming right now. If “nobody cared,” games built around creator content wouldn’t be printing money and have numbers they have. And it's gonna be part of GTA 6 Online too...
@TampaReality@GTAVI_Countdown Yeah, just pointing it out this isn’t just a new season, it’s a whole new chapter with a new map, weapons and theme, which is almost like a new version of the game for Fortnite players. Some minor overlap? Sure. But nothing major.
