@YorozuyaLexis@_vespert1ne You also had tools in the demo which you did not get until a later point in the full release (Fatal Strikes, OVL 2, Artes you weren't supposed to have at that point, Burst Artes), Gattuso wasn't retuned at all for the final release and was just left as is lol
@YorozuyaLexis@_vespert1ne Little bit of history but back in before the 360 version released, Gattuso was the last thing you could do before the end of the demo, in that sense it was pretty much an intentional difficulty spike
@Master_S96@_vespert1ne Yup, some artes get additional hits, restands otg properties, etc and the amount of uses varies, but if you want more details just have a look at the arte list for any character on the aselia wiki.
@_vespert1ne Oh yeah, also combat related but if you happen to come across any weapon with the "guard artes" skill, do yourself a favor and get it asap.
It gives invincibility frames to the startup of any base arte if you input guard before doing an arte, pretty useful shit.
@_vespert1ne Yeah you'll learn more about the game mechanics as you progress but manual cancelling is something they don't teach you (outside of the battle book that almost nobody reads), but it's a real game changer and opens up the combat a lot so I'd recommend getting used to it!
@_vespert1ne Shit hits the fan late game when you have more arte slots and all the skills lol.
The only issue really is finding the weapons that have the skills that let you chain different types of artes sequentially and grinding them out, it can be a bit of a slog but it's def worth it.
@_vespert1ne Altered artes are pretty much alternate versions of existing artes that you can learn from using specific weapon skills, they count as their own type of arte too but I wouldn't worry about them too much for now
@_vespert1ne Ah you're EARLY early game lol. It's pretty much just a higher tier arte, you'll learn about them soon but the gist is that you get base artes which you start off with, arcane artes that you get later and can be chained into from base artes and altered artes.
@shineeao Amazing stuff in here man, easily some of the coolest vesperia neta I've seen in a long while.
You keep kicking my ass though man LOL I need to hit the lab again, this combo and your last one had me reworking it a bit cause there's a few sequences I was gonna use myself hahaha.
@shineeao Victory Light Spear into Reverse SF Punishment, I see you lol. That phantom glacier setup was pretty hype too. Cool stuff dude.
Now I need to rework my combo a bit lol
@shineeao You can pretty much do it with any arte/action though, like with Repede I was looking at a couple of artes but mostly snatch item cause it's a niche arte and the recovery is pretty long. You could use snatch item and FS cancel it into something like light spear for example
@shineeao FS Cancelling cancels the recovery of your current action immediately into the next which is what makes it easier I suppose. Just doing it raw you wouldn't get it nearly as much cause I assume the timing is frame perfect otherwise.
