🚨 American went to lower the air conditioner in her home and her Smart AC gave her a warning she was not allowed to lower the temperature
“My own thermostat was 79 — it had a little warning that said, "You are not allowed to lower your thermostat set point because the energy grid in your regional area is stressed”
This is with Xcel Energy in Colorado
This woman enrolled in Xcel’s voluntary demand-response AC Rewards-style program. Apparently they lure you in with sign on credits of around $50-150 dollars and then they can set limits on your AC
These programs are being run in multiple states already
It starts out as optional to get you used to it and then it becomes mandatory
A look into a "holler." The Appalachian demographic is 88% white. A gigantic, sprawling ghetto that composes a footprint of about 13ish states. The poverty rate averages out to approx 23% when excluding cities and metro areas that technically fall within those lines. Yet, somehow they are never the face of SNAP, WIC, Medicaid nor any other social safety net program.
HAPPENING NOW: protestors brave the 100+ degree heat in Big Bend to fight DHS border barrier and road construction through the park. Bulldozers are tearing into the national park just a mile downstream. CNN is going live on site.
This is a really crazy situation that caused quite a stir when it happened.
A “Home Instead” franchise owner Jennifer Hannah in Illinois fired her seven month pregnant staff member Crystal because she was wearing maternity pants. After she fired her, she locked her in the office, and would not let her go because she wanted her identification card back .
Here is Jennifer on the phone with cops asking them to come because she’s afraid of her employee who she has locked in her office with her. The arrogance of this woman is off the charts. Crystal, the former employee is having a panic attack, and begging the owner to please let her out. When police arrived Crystal needed medical attention.
She finally let Crystal out when the police told her that she was not allowed to imprison anyone on the premises.
Jennifer Hannah was served a summons, and had her Home Instead franchise taken away from her by the parent company.
Home Instead issued a statement emphasizing they "do not condone behavior that is inconsistent with our values" and took the incident "very seriously"
Now this pissed me off because at a McDonald’s in Fort Meyers,Florida a rude manager took this elderly employee & disciplined him in the dining hall in front of customers. He’s was a part timer who was allegedly fired because he didn’t clean good enough. He was loved by customers🤬
Mass media is barely covering this, but three people in a family including their three dogs were found dead in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, after their electricity was cut off due to an outstanding $2,000 bill.
Their neighbor said they managed to pay $1,000 of the bill off, but that didn't matter. They turned on their generator to survive, and now police are investigating whether it released carbon monoxide that led to their death.
In the richest country on Earth, people are dying because they can’t afford electricity...
What the entire fuck? Is he proposing to take away maternity leave?
He claims to know many many many women who go to work after childbirth. You're still in the hospital the next fuxking day you fuxking idiot.
Republicans literally hate women and children.
Men catch a cold and act like it's the end of the world. Women have a human come out of their body after carrying it for 40 weeks and dude says go back to work. You're fine.
Stop voting for these craven lunatics. #DemsUnited
Two brothers dug seven vaults into a Vermont hillside to keep small cheesemakers from going under
Andy and Mateo Kehler bought the old Jasper Hill farm in 1998 and spent five years restoring the barn and building a creamery
More than 70 percent of the labor in cheesemaking goes into aging it, which is the exact cost that kills small producers
So they built the Cellars, a 22,000 square foot underground aging facility with seven vaults dug into the hill
They now age cheese for other creameries too, so small makers can focus on their animals and their milk instead of the infrastructure
The herd is 45 Ayrshires, a low production breed kept because the milk makes better cheese

This ranch finishes cattle on carrots instead of grain and the beef comes out loaded with beta carotene
The Pettit family ranch sits 8 to 10 miles from two of the world’s largest carrot producers, so they finish cattle on a 95 percent carrot diet upcycled from those farms
Feedlot grain runs about 88 percent dry matter, while carrots are 88 percent moisture, which is why the beef stays juicy without hormones
Carrots are one of the richest beta carotene sources on earth, the compound your body converts into vitamin A
They have fed cattle carrots since 1989, never confined to feedlots, no hormones and no antibiotics

I have a confession to make.
I hate my chickens. 😂🐓
There. I said it!
I REALLY tried to become a chicken person. We went ALL IN. New shed. Insulated coop. High-tech automatic doors. Cameras. Electric fencing. Bear protection. These nasty little dinosaurs basically live in a maximum-security luxury compound.
And I still cannot stand them. 😂
Everyone on X with chickens makes it look so wholesome. “Look at my sweet girls!” “Fresh eggs every morning!” “Chicken math!” Meanwhile I’m just trying to gather eggs without getting shit on and wondering why nobody warned me that chickens are tiny dinosaurs with terrible decision-making skills and absolutely no sense of self-preservation, NONE!
And FREE EGGS?! 😂
Feed. Bedding. Lime. Diatomaceous earth. Random medical supplies because somebody is ALWAYS doing something stupid. Electricity. Gas driving into town for yet another thing the chickens apparently need. Cleaning. More cleaning. Bear fencing. Then fixing everything when a bear decides our expensive electric fence and double walled shed/coop is merely a polite suggestion.
There are TWO humans in this house. TWO. At this point every egg probably costs us $47.63, and I have preserved eggs in every way known to mankind. Freeze-dried eggs. Water-glassed eggs. Frozen eggs. Scrambled and frozen eggs. Enough breakfast burritos to survive the apocalypse. You name it, I’ve done it—and I STILL have 19 DOZEN eggs in the fridge. Even my five dogs are like, “Good grief, lady, not eggs again.” 🤦♀️😂 I think I’m done. I am tapping out.
@tuckerpoodle — girl, you make this look SO fun and SO easy. 😂 I watch you with your chickens and think, “See! I should love this!”
I do not. I genuinely think I’m missing the chicken-loving gene everyone else apparently received.
I tried to become a chicken lady.
Turns out I’m just a dog lady who accidentally built a luxury resort for birds I don’t even like. 😂

ICE AGENTS STOPPED FOR COFFEE. THEIR ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES DISAPPEAR.
Across America, https://t.co/du9bv2U4pY users are finding innovative ways to lawfully and constitutionally resist ICE.
They noticed ICE agents parking like douchebags who think they own the place while grabbing food or coffee. Spotters have teamed up with property owners and tow-truck operators. ICE gets spotted, property owners are alerted, and then the tow-truck drivers move in.
The agents return to find their vehicles gone. So sad. Never mind.
No interference with active operations. No vigilantism. Just ICE facing the same laws and consequences as everyone else.

UPDATE ON GERALD AND THE CROW SITUATION:
Things have escalated.
I repeat.
THINGS HAVE FUCKING ESCALATED.
For those of you just joining us, yesterday I accidentally entered into diplomatic relations with a gang of crows after Gerald stole my good spoon.
Well.
This morning I walked outside and Gerald was waiting for me.
Alone.
Standing directly in the middle of my driveway.
No screaming.
No hopping around.
Just staring at me like a tiny feathered loan shark who had come to collect.
I said, “Morning, Gerald.”
He tilted his head.
I gave him a walnut.
He did not eat it.
Instead, this motherfucker picked it up, walked three steps to the left, PUT IT DOWN, and stared at me again.
Message received.
The offering was insufficient.
So I went back inside and got more walnuts.
When I returned…
THERE WERE NINE CROWS.
Nine.
Yesterday there were seven.
Gerald is fucking recruiting.
And they were arranged in a SEMICIRCLE.
This isn’t a bird friendship anymore.
I’m funding organized crime.
I distributed the walnuts because apparently I pay protection money now.
Everything seemed fine until one of the smaller crows tried taking two.
Gerald immediately screamed at him.
The little one dropped the second walnut.
I have accidentally created an economy.
Gerald controls distribution.
There’s a hierarchy.
There are consequences.
I’m pretty sure I witnessed a disciplinary hearing before breakfast.
Then Gerald flew away.
I thought we were done.
WE WERE NOT DONE.
Twenty minutes later I looked outside and there was something sitting where Gerald had been standing.
A bottle cap.
A shiny rock.
And…
MY FUCKING SPOON.
HE RETURNED THE SPOON.
Ladies and gentlemen.
I believe we have successfully negotiated a trade agreement.
Unfortunately, there is now a crow sitting on my mailbox.
So I still cannot get my fucking mail.
I tried approaching.
He puffed up.
I backed away.
That mailbox belongs to the organization now.
At this point I’m just a tenant.
Anyway, Gerald has officially been promoted to General Gerald, Commander of the Driveway, First of His Name, Keeper of the Good Spoon, Lord of the Power Line, Collector of Walnuts, and Regional Manager of Whatever The Fuck Is Happening Here.
I’ll keep everyone updated.
But if I suddenly stop posting…
Gerald found out I told you.
I just heard that there are cars requiring a monthly subscription for things like “remote start” and “heated seats”. Please, what are these companies/brands so I can make sure I never even consider buying one?
BREAKING: Jared Kushner's $5 billion Jeffrey Epstein-style Albanian resort project plan has effectively collapsed amid Iranian accusations of a $9 billion insider trading operation against him — and after prosecutors found the land was bought with forged Ottoman documents linked to a suspected cocaine trafficker, per WSJ.
Kushner's group paid $125 million in April to Artur Shehu for land on the Zvernec peninsula. Two months later, Albanian prosecutors charged Shehu with money laundering and cocaine trafficking — alleging he used forged documents to acquire the land sold to Kushner.
The project faced mass protests for over 60 days under the "Flamingo Revolution," with thousands opposing environmental destruction and land theft. This is the second time Kushner has faced project collapse in the Balkans after local opposition — following a similar withdrawal in Belgrade, Serbia.
Previously, Iranian officials told Drop Site News that Iran has calculated $9 billion in profits from market manipulation by "individuals close to Trump," mainly Kushner and Steve Witkoff. Tehran warned Vance that Kushner and Witkoff were "more interested in exploiting insider knowledge to profit than reaching a deal."
