Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and members of other nations went through the Soviet machine of terror. The overwhelming majority of them – simply for being who they were. Today, together, we honored the memory of those killed by political repression at the Bykivnia Graves National Historical Memorial Preserve and also laid flowers at the Memorial Sign of Polish Burials.
These historical events of Russia’s savagery remind us again and again that evil cannot remain unpunished; otherwise, repression and abuse return with renewed force. Now, when thousands of our people – prisoners of war and civilian detainees – remain in Russian captivity and are going through the same trials, it is important not to forget this. At all levels, the necessary efforts must be made to bring back each and every one of them. And above all, we must ensure that justice is served and that the criminals are held accountable for their actions. The free world has enough strength to ensure this.
Whether you’re a father, brother or son, don’t let embarrassment stop you from getting checked for symptoms linked to cancers of the penis, testicles, prostate or bowel - speaking up could save your life. See your GP for anything that doesn’t feel normal for you. 💙
We are excited to announce that the first look for our Chelsea Flower Show Garden will be broadcast tonight on the BBC!
Join us at 8pm on BBC2 to see 'The Breathing Space'.

Huge news for the exon 20 lung cancer community in England. 🙌
For a long time, people living with EGFR exon 20 insertion #lungcancer have had v limited treatment options. Today that changes.
NICE has recommended amivantamab in combination with chemo through the Cancer Drugs Fund, meaning this treatment is now available on the NHS in England.
This isn’t just about a new treatment. It’s about hope. It’s about finally having a targeted, effective option from diagnosis that can control cancer for longer.
For a community that has had very limited treatment options, this is a landmark moment. EGFR+ UK has been campaigning for access to targeted treatments for people with exon 20 insertion lung cancer for years. Today, that work pays off. 💜 #LCSM
As exam season approaches, so does the increase in pollen. While hay fever can be irritating for many , for some it can really impact their chances of exam success.
Studies show that, when pollen is high, students with hay fever perform worse in their exams than their peers.
Dr Samantha Walker, our Director of Research and Innovation, led research looking at the relationship between hay fever and exam performance. Of the 2,000 students surveyed, those affected by hay fever were 40% more likely to drop a grade between their mocks and summer exams.

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” – A. A. Milne
As we mark the 100th anniversary of the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh stories, The Queen has presented a very special gift to the New York Public Library, reuniting baby Roo with his friends from the 100 Acre Wood.
The Library is home to the original collection of toys owned by Christopher Robin Milne, son of A.A. Milne, which inspired the characters in the beloved Winnie-the-Pooh series. The collection is missing Roo, the baby kangaroo who was lost in an orchard in the 1930s.
The new addition of Roo was created by Shropshire-based company Merrythought, who also created the original toys.
👀 Watch Roo’s great adventure travelling from Buckingham Palace onboard Their Majesties’ flight to his new home in New York.
One of the most cynical Russian war crimes is the systematic, calculated transfer of Ukrainian children, scattering them across Russia, concealing their fate, “reprogramming” their culture, and continuously, shamelessly subjecting them to militarization. It is vitally important to bring our children back home from there. Before the Russians break them. And every initiative, every activity, every effort that helps achieve this also helps Ukraine. I said this while addressing participants of the Civil Society and Expert Day.
Thanks to our Bring Kids Back UA initiative, we have secured 2,126 returns, and we will continue this work. We have engaged strong international mediators to help bring the children home.
I am grateful to every country that has joined our Coalition for the Return of Children. I want to thank every leader of the countries contributing to the effort, and every First Lady of countries that care and are concerned about the fate of abducted children. I thank our Bring Kids Back team. I am grateful to all diplomats, international organizations, and journalists who maintain focus on the rescue of children.
Our latest newsletter is out today. 💜
