I’ve been looking into Cashi recently, and the more I understand it, the more interesting the idea becomes.

Cashi is a stablecoin spending app and cashback card that lets users hold, send and spend digital dollars like $USDC and $USDT, while using a Visa card for everyday payments. The idea is simple: make stablecoins feel less like something you just hold in a wallet and more like money you can actually use.

But I also wanted to know more about the person behind it.

Esther Wong is the Founder and CEO of Cashi. Before starting Cashi, she spent 7 years at https://t.co/ljH0l5hnmD, where she helped build and scale one of the largest crypto card programmes in the industry. She later decided to build Cashi around stablecoins and everyday spending.

One thing I find interesting is how her background connects directly with what Cashi is trying to solve: making digital money easier to use in everyday life.

And on the African side, I noticed Amaka Joyce is Cashi’s Africa Ambassador Lead. From what I’ve seen, her role goes beyond simply promoting the product. She’s focused on connecting Cashi with communities, creators, students, freelancers and other people across Africa.

That part especially caught my attention.
