It feels really weird to be living in a country that you were born in, paid your way, kept your nose clean & then wake up & find the country you were born in is now not the country you thought it was.

I always thought we had a government that was there to take care of you, do the right thing by you & put you first.

How wrong was I.

We now live in a country that puts you last & would prefer to look after foreigners than their own people.

Surely if this is what the government want then they should be the ones that move to a country that suits their needs & leave the rest of us to get on & enjoy the country we were born into.

We need a government that puts the UK first, not themselves.

Ghost is very very poorly, his stomach has been full of fluid which the vets are having to help drain without sedation as he is just too weak to be sedated.
He will now be staying in the ICU for the next 7 days while they treat him for this terrible illness and we can only pray that he will fight through this. We will give this poor boy EVERY opportunity he needs to get better.
As you can imagine, veterinary costs for a 7 day stay are going to cost a big chunk of money so anyone who can donate to help us fund treatment would be unbelievably kind.

We are currently receiving many more requests to take in dogs than we are adoption/foster enquiries 😔 We have had to turn countless dogs away just in the past week alone - something we absolutely hate to do, and goes against why we are here as a charity, but we simply have no space and our current dogs are all still sat waiting for someone to give them a chance 💔
To make matters worse, the vast vast majority of those enquiries we have received are failing to get back to us after initial contact - this is unprecedented and only a very recent issue that we just cannot understand 😣 PLEASE DO NOT apply to adopt/foster if you are not genuine or serious! It’s soul destroying to receive what sound like promising enquires, only to be ghosted 😓
We are truly doing all we can, but right now it feels like there just aren’t the homes out there and it’s tough - tough on us, but really tough on so many dogs who should be with their forever families 😓
Summer - August in particular - is probably the worst time for rehoming as so many people are away, but this is a plea to those people out there who maybe have already been away, or who have no holiday plans, to please consider fostering or adopting - we’re crying out for help, but please ONLY get in touch if you feel that you genuinely can help ❤️
We have had to seriously limit our intakes and haven’t had any new arrivals 💔 we’re desperate to help more dogs in need, but everything depends on finding homes/foster placements for our current dogs who need us ❤️
There is physically only so much we can do, and we just have no room or foster homes out there to be able to help any more 💔

Folic acid should not be added to flour mandatorily. For people that require it for medical reasons, it can be taken voluntarily as a supplement. Why force this upon us? @angelaeagle @YvetteCooperMP
