I’m a teacher. I do not want to go ahead of anyone vulnerable or at risk for the vaccine! I also have zero appetite for Industrial Action. Media spin is doing serious damage to all parties. I’m sure plenty of teachers feel the same. We just want to get on with it.

Just when things look to be a bit brighter. >700 cases! And what happened 14 days ago? St Patrick’s day. What happened on this day? House parties/congregate around a lake. I know people are fed up, I know people are over it. But so am I! And yet I still am on the front line!!

The internal and external factors that play a role in glucose levels is immense, never mind the left field surprises!! To call it uncontrolled is a slap in the face to those that try to manage it!

Its well documented the incubation period is up to 14 days. Hotels are lying idle, student accom complexes vacant. Open them and use them to facilitate 14day mandatory quarantine. Create a package that includes accom, catering/grocery delivery and PCR on day 12 @MichealMartinTD

PCR testing is brilliant, and the gold standard, most reliable test available for indicating the presence of COVID-19. Aside from the false neg rates; this test is a snap shot in time. There is nothing to stop you getting Covid in between test and travel! @MichealMartinTD @rte

I can’t fathom the reluctance to enforcing 2 week quarantine on anyone coming into the country. What empirical evidence is being referred to that even suggests a neg PCR, ~2 days pre travel is sufficient to allow these incomers into a health system on its knees @DonnellyStephen

@SeanDefoe It should be mandatory quarantine for all in bound passengers! It’s bloody ridiculous to think one test, taken 2 days before this person takes a flight is perfectly sufficient to allow free roam of an already struggling country!
