Last Thursday, VOC was proud to help recognize U.S. Army Veteran and former Richards House resident, Anthony, as he received a special gift from our friends at @HawkCollision, @NABCGivesBack, and @Travelers.
Anthony served in the Army from 2000 to 2003, and currently works in Rochester as a chef. Anthony is also a proud father of 6, including one son currently serving in the Army.

Tragically, veterans are nearly twice as likely as non-veterans to commit suicide. September is National Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, and this week, Veterans Outreach Center is hosting events to recognize those impacted by suicide.
Fred is a beige colored orange tabby who was rescued and nursed back to health from the streets of Rochester in 2022. He now spends his days snuggling with his humans, causing mischief, and chasing Maple.
Introducing VOC's Chief Happiness Officers for the month of September!
This month's Chief Happiness Officers are Marketing and Communications Coordinator Will's cats, Maple and Fred!
Maple is a tuxedo cat who was living in a shed on her own when she was rescued by a vet tech in late 2021. Since then, she’s had a very happy home in Rochester, where she enjoys lying in the sun, getting pets from her humans, and drinking water from the sink.
