As a long time rules official, when I see this angle it feels like a penalty. I don’t know exactly how close he is to the ball when he does this, but if he’s anywhere close it looks like he improved his area of intended swing.

Adam Forgey, PGA, captured the Tennessee State Open title on the 1st playoff hole, defeating Clarksville’s Seth Smith.

Three birdies on the back nine helped earn him a spot in the playoff and he took advantage of it, enshrining his name in history.
