I don't know that it can get much better than this. Putting on Sawgrass 17, Pro greens in a very early beta of @golfplusvr's MR putting. #golf#vrgolf#metaquest3#vr
@Rengle820 I am so ready for this. I don't have a sim or room for anything like that, but I have a putter and a ball and cannot wait to experience real golf in my house. It will be a truly amazing experience.
@Rengle820 Would me amazing if the SIM compatibility was extended to things like PhiGolf and TruGolf Mini (E6). That's a gateway for (us) inexperienced golfers as well as those without the space or funds to get a real sim.
@SkarredGhost Headsets at this point in time cannot be jacks of all trades at a price people are willing to pay. Gamers are a ready made audience that will continue buy and support VR. The masses are unreliable. Some disappointing specs, but I hope it does well. I may grab one.
@SkarredGhost Ninety percent of my VR time is spent playing full course golf and other downward facing games, i.e., cricket, soccer, Pilates, etc. The high side cameras on the Frame have me concerned about a lower dead zone. Keeping a close eye.
@xuwu I struggle to understand why two completely different products (glasses vs VR headsets) are spoken about as if it's an either or situation or that one is simply a more compact version of the other. It isn't. They do two completely different things.
So happy to see @Rengle820 present at Connect today. Great job, Ryan! GOLF+ has such a far reaching impact that's so meaningful to so many. I'm glad you know that. The stories are plentiful and are a reflection of the work that you and your team put into the game.
@GAMERTAGVR 06/23: bought a VR fitness game on Steam that I love but it fell out of my rotation b/c I prefer standalone. FF to a few weeks ago when I jumped for joy that they finally released it for the Quest. Come to find out, it released in 2022 for Quest. Never knew it was in the shop.
@Rengle820 @milanlajtos After trying mine, I've had friends immediately buy a headset, get immersed, are in awe of what they can do, and then drop it a few weeks later. Then resume and wonder why on earth they dropped it. Then ghost it again and never come back. Why is that, I wonder.
@xuwu As a user, I see AR and VR as two completely different animals. If you want full immersion, it's VR. If you want to integrate the world into your day, it's glasses. In my view, each of those requires its own specific form factor and one size does not fit all.
