Vibe-spiking: When you want to build a feature/functionality piece, you spend 10 minutes trying to have an AI model oneshot (or a few iterations) the code. If it works, great! Otherwise, discard the code completely and take a more measured approach.
x402 from Coinbase seems like a pretty big deal. The AI Agent use-cases are certainly interesting, but if I'm understanding correctly, they essentially created an internet cash microtransaction protocol.
Interesting to see how the OpenAI board dynamic changed over time. Seems from the final board state when Sam Altman fired that there was a knee-jerk overreaction from the lead scientist (who now regrets the decision) and 2 AI governance people. https://t.co/sJzJo6AQpl
@benz145 Friction is a big part, but I think an equally big part is the discomfort after (face/forehead/jaw pain, nausea) leading to more subconscious deterrent. It's an amazing experience sandwiched by unpleasantness.
@OfficialLoganK@MongeMkt I wonder if this one would generate the text correctly if the important text was put in "quotes". They may have trained it based on that or be using some sort of special identification.
@benz145 Also, if Apple hides eye tracking pre-click from 3rd party devs like they claim, devs won't even be able to do important things like button highlighting.
Apple trying to protect eye-gaze privacy is laudable, BUT, if devs don't have any input prior to click, that means only apple software will have gaze highlighting. Seems like either an oversight or they have some workaround?
@george__mack How do I stop the bug where half the time I pull up a note and it's blank? Only fix I have found is to force quit notes and reopen, but it happens often.
@JeffLadish Mistake IMO is the non-commercial license they released under. The tech is impossible to lock down, so it just makes nefarious actors have an advantage using the model. Ex, no incentive for a company to try to create an anti-spam product using it
People can throw shade on the "bullshit machine" component of ChatGPT, it's probably good to remind people of the shortcomings of this generative AI and to NOT blanket trust it (human must always be in the loop). But as an information technology tool it's excellent.
