Scarab or Gubrela: The Earliest Sign of Afterlife in 12,000-Year-Old #Ratnagiri Petroglyphs, Maharashtra

1/ Significance in Egyptian History:
The scarab held great significance in Egyptian history as a symbol of life, birth, rebirth, and resurrection. This was largely due to its unique behavior of rolling balls of dung, serving as a source of food.

2/ Movement and Symbolism:
The ancient Egyptians believed the cyclical movement of the scarab mirrored the daily journey of Ra, the sun god. Ra rolls his solar disk across the sky, representing death during nightfall and renewal at dawn. This symbolized transformation and resurrection.

3/ Protective Amulets:
Beyond religious symbolism, scarabs were regarded as protective amulets. They were believed to ward off evil spirits and bring good luck to those who wore them.

4/ Connection to Khepri:
Scarabs also had connections to Khepri, an aspect of Ra associated with creation. This further emphasized their ties to creation, rebirth, and regeneration
