Books too, I prefer audiobooks but if 99% of people only wanted audiobooks I still wouldn’t believe it’s right to not print books anymore..

@JamieThinksAlot @FolloWilliaMe @IGN Emulation isn’t illegal and it’s considered at legitimate way to back up your own copies. Yet in the TOS emulation of purchased games is not allowed. Having a gaming hiatus for a few years (inactivity) can result in account deletion- with no way to reclaim your digital goods.

If you have to sign a TOS that allows them to reclaim your purchased property then it’s not actual ownership.

I never said they were, but it is anti consumer to lock out 130ish countries from buying games, and if I buy something they reserve the rights to take it back. Ownership shouldn’t be conditional.

@JamieThinksAlot @IGN As for your original comment I dare say the 200+ physical ps4/ps5 games I own, years of PlayStation plus, engagement on the platform & yes in some cases digital purchases, is worth something. Yet this is what we are seeing from “new wave” fans and PS themselves. “We’re worthless”

@JamieThinksAlot @IGN Also what if you get hacked, or if the ban was a mistake? You’re basically SOL with no way to get it fixed because support is bad. They have essentially zero return policy, which is crazy. It’s literally just not a very consumer friendly model.

@JamieThinksAlot @IGN What are you not understanding? It’s in the TOS that is why Sony just removed purchased movies from people’s libraries. You don’t own digital you own a limited license. There is a reason game companies don’t want to change the language in the TOS to favor buyers.

@JamieThinksAlot @IGN Last I checked if I purchase a mattress and remove the label that you’re “not suppose too” the mattress company can’t come take it out of my home leaving me without a bed or the money I paid them.. the only digital things you own are locally stored and DRM free.
