Our fantastic HENS dietitian Elizabeth passes NG tubes and wanted to see things from the patients perspective, so had a tube passed herself. She is sharing the experience through some short videos @LPTnhs@AHPs_LLR
When you’re feeling ill you often don’t want a plate of food.
Offer snacks, encourage snacking, encourage relatives to bring in snacks from home.
Snacks aid recovery.

@Laracapybara@KotechaPinky@zachary_tait I agree…. If nurses don’t contact the Dr’s they risk being called out for not doing so, if they do, they get slated on unhelpful Twitter treads like this one. When things go wrong, it is always the nursing care that is looked at first and pulled apart, sadly.
Our sites are particularly busy at the moment and our teams are working extremely hard to care for everyone who comes to our hospitals.
Please remember to use the right service to get the care and advice you need.
