Our Charity has a new name - Vision Support Barrow & District. This has come about after we received feedback from a number of clients and related organisations about the word Blind in our old name which was felt did not accurately describe who we support.
As well as large capital grants, the Foundation also offers smaller capital #grants across the UK, eg to charities like the @BDBlindSociety to help them build their new dementia unit at Ostley House residential care home. Great to see how it's progressing! https://t.co/HFaX8q8JjO

Last weekend our team of volunteers (and Teddy) were braving the weather to do street collections in Barrow and Dalton. Together they raised an amazing £768.29. Many thanks to them and to all the people who donated.

We were visited by the 17th Barrow Cubs last week and everyone had a great time. They came to learn about Disability and asked lots of questions to Adrian, Paul and Paul who are all visually impaired. Hopefully they gained an insight into visual impairment

We were in full prep mode at our Tuesday Craft Club for Valentines Day. Clubs like these are a great way for people to socialise who don't get out as much.
