In most cities (other than Pune) people send a private message like this to people living on higher floors of the same building; “Please water your terrace plants carefully so it doesn’t spill down.”

In Kothrud, though, it goes on a WA group of 80 members; 
“The 6th floor garden is so unique, it doubles as a daily waterfall for the 1st floor. While we appreciate nature’s generosity, one shower a day is enough”

So elegantly written, it could be mistaken for appreciation, by someone not from Pune.

I feel embarrassed to say this as a lawyer with 12 years of practice, I do not have faith in the legal "justice" system of my country.

A client came to me 5 years ago, facing a completely false molestation case after a breakup in Mumbai.
We filed civil and criminal cases against the girl and her family.

After stopping communication for 2 years, the client comes to me again asking for specific advice on a few applications, and after guiding him, I asked if he discussed mediation and mutual withdrawal of cases with the girl.

Nope.

He said he wanted justice.

I then spent an hour trying to convince him that he, a tech engineer in the USA, is just wrestling with a pig in the mud.

You are now at a level playing field, with the girl and her entire family scrambling to defend the cases you have filed against them. Get them in the mediation room, broker a settlement, move on with your life.

He did not listen.
He said he wants justice.
Sadly, India is not a country for justice.
5, or 10, or 20 years down the line, he will realise this.

It is not a game you want to win, but one you want to get out of as soon as possible.
