business lounge staff kicks you out @ 12:30 when the lounge officially closes at 1am because,I quote “we want to make sure we can lock the door at 1am sharp”not to mention the Lounge itself as a joke #badairlines#noservice
Such lack of awareness about life in other countries is mostly sad. This will surely strengthen many expats in their choice never to return to their home country, not because of financial benefits but because of the mindset they left behind and the one they found elsewhere.
The idea that Europeans living in the UAE are there only to avoid taxes is a gross misconception. There are so many reasons why people choose to live there. The country offers opportunities, energy and an environment that encourages ambition and reward initiative. #UAEisSafe
In contrast, across several European countries, there is an increasingly discouraging atmosphere. Initiative is often met with suspicion, and those who achieve something are expected to justify or even apologise for it.
I’ve been watching the reaction to @JeffBezos &LaurenSánchez’s wedding, 🙄 it says more about commenters than the couple. Criticism is fine but such hypocrisy🤢 If you reject something do it fully. If you benefit from something acknowledge it.➕let people enjoy their wedding fgs!
People in Venice are outraged they hosted @JeffBezos’wedding. Really? Tourism is what keeps the city alive. They brought in massive 💵 hotels, restaurants, water taxis, staff, photographers, vendors, Free publicity! Everyone benefited. If it’s that awful, don’t take their 💵!
Now the wedding—why the obsession? The number of people going out of their way to criticize Lauren’s dress or other… sad. It’s THEIR wedding. Not everyone has to like the style, and we don’t need to have an opinion on everything. Not your taste? Fine. Move on. Let people live.
@amazon People shout “@JeffBezos is evil!” while waiting for their same-day delivery. If you hate it so much—don’t use it. Boycott it. That’s a respectable, consistent stance. But don’t indulge in the benefits and then vilify the source. Hypocrisy disguised as moral outrage is exhausting
I truly don’t understand the amount of hate @JeffBezos gets. You can disagree with some aspects of @amazon’s business model, sure—but the man built one of the most successful companies on Earth. That means something.
1/3…
@amazon didn’t fall from the sky. It was built through vision, execution, and relentless effort. You don’t have to admire him, but at least be honest about the achievement.
And let’s be real: almost everyone uses Amazon.
