last few days in good old germany 🇩🇪
taxing diet coke: government introduces a new 26ct/l tax on sugary drinks. except they’re also taxing drinks with sweetener. so… drinks without sugar.
10g of bread: a baker sells half a loaf for half the price. because cutting bread creates crumbs, the half loaf is 10g lighter than exactly 50%. a customer reports him to the office of weights and measurement. result: he needs a new weighing system costing €15k.
corporate suicide: porsche sells its consulting arm to tata for €320m, then signs a deal to pay tata €1.25bn for ai consulting over the next 5 years.
can we please get our shit together as a country. overtaxing. over-bureaucracy. people reporting their local baker over 10g of cutting crumbs. companies making decisions that look outright suicidal.
i really want to be optimistic about germany. we have more - and better - founders than ever.
but we are standing in our own way. all. the. time.
@Jimmy070470 È un’ottima alternativa a economia. Se non pianifichi di investire in Bocconi, mi sento di consigliare ingegneria gestionale, obbligatoriamente con percorso all’estero (Erasmus ecc). Filtra di più rispetto a economia
@DTLTennisBets It was his call and it was a tough one. He’s a professional athlete. If he could, he would have gotten on the court. Nobody asked for your dumb opinion.
