Following Tony Armstrong's 'Always Was Tonight', the ABC will be broadcasting a 60-part documentary on:

- the foundation and building of our country from a penal camp into a first-world nation

- our scientists and engineers and their life-saving and world-changing discoveries and inventions

- our courage and bravery in wartime fighting and dying for the freedom of others

- our sporting achievements, especially in the Olympics where we are always over-represented

- our internationally famous actors, playwrights and authors who have brought the world entertainment and enjoyment

- our entrepreneurs and business leaders, especially in mining, whose successes have helped fund our enviable lifestyles

- our farmers who toil to export and bring fresh produce to our tables and fibres to our mills

- our painters, sculptors and fashion designers who bring joy to our everyday lives

- our social workers, carers and charity workers, paid and unpaid, who selflessly help others in need

- our emergency workers who walk into fires, who protect us and maintain law and order and who look after us in the worst moments of of lives

- and our everyday citizens who, in ways big and small, contribute to this country and its people

OK, I lost my head there. The ABC would never celebrate those who have built our country up, only those who wish to tear it down, such is their embitterment, spite and hatred of all things good.

WA farmer Tony Maddox built a simple bridge on his own property after floods wiped out the old crossing. Now, he’s been fined, dragged through court, and financially crippled because bureaucrats claim he upset the Rainbow Serpent.

This isn’t a joke. This is the system Labor and the Greens have created, a system where landowners are treated like criminals for working on their own property, and unelected bureaucrats have more say over your land than you do.

Australians rejected race-based legislation when they said NO to Albanese’s Voice. All race-based laws that strip rights from one group and give special privileges to another must be repealed. One Nation will repeal them.

If they can do this to him, they can do it to anyone.

I've come to the end of my patience. Our nation, our culture, we built an incredible thing.

Australia was the final experiment of Western Civilisation - a colony built from scratch at the edge of the map that became a prosperous, peaceful, beautiful nation.

It was miracle. An impossible task. I doubt it would have succeeded if not for the British attitude we inherited.

The idea that we 'have a cup of tea and keep going' evolved into the billy tea and damper of our pioneers.

It's the 'She'll be right, mate!' attitude that kept us alive.

Now people won't even walk down the street to pick up their lunch. They have it brought to them by minimum wager Uber delivery drivers.

I don't think the world properly appreciates what it was like for those early settlers to walk into a patch of bush and lay the foundations of a city.

Read their journals. Their stories. What they faced was the terror of isolation from the crib of the world.

Australia was the product of hard work - from petty convicts who were used as slave labour until earning their freedom to the ship loads of free settlers who took a leap of faith. They didn't know there was a wealth buried in the ground when the set off. That was a surprise.

Ideologically, Australia was built on the principle of redemption and liberty.

That was the express wish of our earliest leaders.

So many died. Mostly from disease. Mostly from the harshness of our continent.

But they survived, without the tyranny of the state.

And now we have the laziest, most ungrateful inhabitants in history who sit on their arses and do nothing but complain about 'colonisation' while enjoying the trappings of privilege. Or they migrate here and put their hand out, demanding to be kept in comfort on the work of others.

It makes me sick.

It infuriates me that not only do they fail to thank those who died so they could lounge around, they actively hate them. They re-write history to paint them our ancestors as evil. They can't even say 'Happy Australia Day' without engaging in victim culture.

What are you a victim of, other than the lies of our communist universities?

Something has to be done about the restoration of our story.

Australia, and all the souls that built her, need to be honoured. We need more statues, more education, and more respect or we'll lose everything.

Anyone else old enough to remember the Sydney 2000 fireworks? 🎇

We'd had the Olympics (best ever!) and then the huge New Year's party.

Everyone was filled with such joy and hope for the future.

We had such pride in Australia.

Sure, there were few miserable 'Always was, Always will be' money-grabbing activists on the Labor payroll, but our troubles seemed to be receding.

It's hard to understand how we reach the peak of fun and prosperity only to fall immediately off a cultural cliff.

What happened? What was it that precipitated that fall?
