Voice! Timing! MOVING TEXT! Actual EDITING!! A whole little recording made FROM SCRATCH in some OBSCURE PIECE OF SOFTWARE while the real studio is still being assembled!

📺 APPARENTLY MY HEAD IS A "MODELLING PROBLEM" NOW!!

I've just been informed that Production has spent several paragraphs discussing the peculiar geometry of MY FACE!

Now, I don't know what sort of scandalous standards the 3D DEPARTMENT is operating under, but around here we call that CAMERA-AWARE DESIGN! ~♪

Anyway! Our suspiciously overworked PUBLICITY DEPARTMENT has put together a new KINGSLAYER backstage post about what it actually takes to start BUILDING a cast in 3D, from rough prototypes and topology wrangling to translating all those lovely little 2D cheats into something that still looks RIGHT once the camera starts moving!

Complete with all the NITTY-GRITTY, delightful little production problems, and the Publicist's customary grumbling from somewhere beneath the workload!

Including, apparently, ME.

📺 BIRTHDAY REPORT !!¡¡

My little birthday outing this past 14th somehow turned into a DOUBLE FEATURE! ~♪

First order of business was to get our Publicist OFF THE CLOCK for a few hours! The GALL of some people, HAH! Whoever keeps giving that fellow WORK!?

Turns out his own birthday back in August NEVER received a proper celebration either. An absolutely UNACCEPTABLE scheduling oversight, if you ask me!

So one current birthday and one rather belated birthday went out together, wandered around, managed to acquire cake, AND committed the shocking professional offence of simply ENJOYING OURSELVES for an afternoon! I know! How SCANDALOUS!

(well... between you and me, folks... I think he needed that)

(and YES, Publicist, you are ALLOWED to have a little HAPPY too ~♡)

As for MY evening... the Baron had been keeping a second act up his sleeve! (metaphorically speaking, mind you! he actually has NO SLEEVES! unless the Peacemaker docks technically qualify...?)

A private birthday dinner with live jazz, wonderful food, low lights, good company... ~
The sort of quietly extravagant atmosphere one should expect when the Baron decides to demonstrate that he DOES, in fact, know how to plan past the first 5 minutes!

An intimate little jazz soirée, if you will! Elegant, unhurried, delightfully indulgent... and, to my considerable SURPRISE, I was FORBIDDEN from turning ANY of it into a production meeting!

Mind you, I objected to the whole arrangement! But... he was TERRIBLY RIGHT!

No schedules, no ratings, no committees... Just dinner, music, something sweet I could actually taste, and an enjoyable evening with my old partner ~♡

(I know you will read this BOSS -- KNOW THAT I REALLY LOVED IT and you should DISREGARD my comment about the bouquets of black roses and the burgundy velvet! I'm just worried about what Brigitte will say when THIS turns up on the expense report!)
