Our mother, Val, finally made it to the finish line after a long journey of 93 years 5 months and 6 days. She died peacefully overnight at Port Macquarie Base Hospital where she was receiving care following a serious fall at home on the night of Mon 1 July.

We wish to convey our deepest appreciation to the doctors and nurses of Ward 2B for the wonderful care she received, and also to the staff at St. Agnes Village for their help at this difficult time, and over the preceding 10 years. Thank you.
