Every time I look up at the Moon now, even the one at Space Center Houston, it feels different.
Itโs no longer just a distant light in the night sky โ itโs a place Iโve studied up close with my own eyes. I find myself tracing its features, recognizing the shadows, the craters, the quiet stories written across its surface.
The Moon hasnโt changed, but now when I observe it, it comes back to life in my mind with a new and treasured perspective.
huge life update: i was laid off from @vrbo last week after 13 years. feeling a lot, but mostly grateful for the friends + experiences.
iโm pursuing photography full time now. if you like my work, *please* buy a print, zine, or book to support me. https://t.co/yNkIxEm0lD
my birthday was a few days ago, and the new year brought the urge to sell everything and focus on new projects. so all my prints and zines are heavily marked down! get โem while ya can: https://t.co/vAYiH5njg8
All over the US theyโre trying to erase and rewrite black history from taking down murals, removing slavery panels, Removal of Juneteenth and MLK Day as federal free park days. Racist HATE remembering what their ancestors did and what they benefited from.
New year + a slow return to social media. Iโm Kat, a Texas based photographer. Iโve loved cameras since I was a kid, sneaking into my grandpaโs office and getting busted for pressing buttons. 30 years later, Iโm still shooting on film. My work is rooted in rural Texas. Say hi!
