On a slightly unrelated note, this is why democracy isn't always a great idea if such folks are around with voting rights (that 'advocate' is an Indian living in India)
Chief Minister @DKShivakumar, do you think Hindu beliefs and religious sentiments can be taken for granted?
Why were images of a mosque and a cross painted on the historic Arkeshwara Swamy Temple? Who ordered this? Is tolerance expected only from Hindus?
When Ganesh processions face objections near mosques, why should Hindus accept such symbols being painted on their temples?
**Hindu temples are sacred symbols of our faith and identity. They must not become tools for pseudo-secularism.**
The @INCKarnataka government must immediately investigate who ordered this act and take strict legal action against anyone found responsible for hurting Hindu religious sentiments.
Delhi, 650 years ago:
India was under foreign Muslim rule and Sharia.
An old Brahmin decided to fight back.
He publicly performed Ghar Wapsi of thousands of Muslim men and women.
When this news came to Sultan Firoz Tughlaq, he offered two choices to the Brahman.
1) Islam.
2) Death by burning.
The Brahman chose death. He was burned to death in broad daylight. Even when his body was burning before his very eyes, he did not utter a cry. He had no fear and no regrets. Such was his dedication for the nation and dharma.
Today, the descendants of this Brahman are classified by Indian state as "oppressors" and systematically discriminated. Descendants of Firoz Shah, on the other hand, are classified as "oppressed" and given doles, freebies and reservations
