I met a beginner trader who would always pray when his trades are in losses

I know this trader is spiritual and I know for sure that this isn’t how he ought to tackle the situation

So this day, he was at it again, this time around the trade was in bad loss

Then I decided to ask these questions

Let’s say he was about 70% down the capital

1: Did something in your mind/ heart told you to close this trade when it was at -10%?

He said YES!

But why didn’t you close it?

He said, he felt the trade is sure

2. I continued with my question; At -40% did that same thing told you to close the trade and let go?

He said YES again

Again, I asked why didn’t you close it?

He said, I can’t lose this money, I trust God will move this market in my favour

3. I told him; you know at a particular point in time, before this trade got this worse, there was a bit of retracement which took you back to -15%

Why didn’t you close it?

As any trader, he was hoping for BE

4. Finally, I asked, in all this turmoil, did this voice kept coming over and over again suggesting you need to stay out of this trade, right?

He said YES.

Then, I asked why the fuck are you still praying?

He said, I believe God would help me

I said look; God is just, is it until he comes out from heaven to move the market before you know he has already been talking to you?

He has been talking to you all this while and you chose to ignore him.

He doesn’t interfere with affairs of men, he suggests, instructs, corrects but he will not come down to move the market in your favour after you chose to ignore all his wrongs

Then I said, moreover why didn’t use a stoploss?

I am pretty sure he suggested to you and reminded you you failed to use stop loss

But you ignored.
