David Dhawan : Movies become hits because of the actor, it was true earlier and still is.
Varun Dhawan: Dhurandhar was a director’s success, not the actor’s.
No one is giving credit to Ranveer Singh, which is why Ranveer’s next movie Pralay, isn’t finding producers
As a person who reviews films, please understand that, production companies owe you nothing. If they are compensating you to interact with the cast, its your choice to say yes or no.
If they are telling you to bear the expenses for the same (travel, camera and crew) : its your choice to say yes or no.
If they offer you money to give a favourable review, its your choice to say yes or no.
To whine and complain about not being comped for a set visit is pitiful. Don't be salty if others get favourable treatment or opportunities.
Create something so significant for yourself that you are not dependent on favours.
.@iHrithik is doing everything other than making movies and his fans are upset. I received a message from one of Hrithik's die hard fans and he requested me to make a video on Hrithik.
Hrithik hasn't had a clean hit since War. He is directing Krrish 4 and that should be an epic film.
Hrithik is super fit and his fans need to understand that he has consistently delivered blockbusters over a span of 2 and a half decades. He is an Artiste who is blessed with tremendous self belief and is not competing with anyone. He is very hungry though he may not show it. He is tremendously ambitious but his definition of ambition is different than others.
Your thoughts???
LOL , not surprised , he came from SLB school of films . SLB made Ranbir do 70 takes for a single shot, I am sure Ramayana is not close. What PJ is saying is RK's usual rodeo. There's a reason why his films take a while , working to better than who he was always.
That’s why I like Nitesh Tiwari.
He delivered a 2000 crore film, yet instead of chasing that success again, he chose to make a small, grounded film with younger actors.
And I’m sure that even after #Ramayana he’ll go back to making a simple, heartfelt movie again.
Q: Describe the Evolution Of Cinema?
#JagapathiBabu: “It is GROWING, but at the same time, it is CORRUPTED as well.
Just because #SSRajamouli garu made #Baahubali, thinking that we should also make a ₹1000 cr film is WRONG thing.”
Ranbir Kapoor is my favorite actor, just for his prep he came to watch our show at NCPA. He’s the best actor in the last 20 years, look, vfx, budget etc doesn’t matter only the raw emotional connect with the audience matters - Tarun Khanna defending RK and #Ramayana ❤️
"All those trolling Ranbir as Ram will hang on his d!ck post release. They keep forgetting that Ranbir Kapoor is still the best actor in the industry. The best!”
— Shan Prasher
There’s a stark contrast in how #Ramayana is being promoted in the US versus India.
#RanbirKapoor#Yash
The reception from US media toward the interviews and promotional assets has been commendable.
Meanwhile, in India, audiences and media have been busy nitpicking minute detail like “hair not flying” or the color of a turban changing due to YouTube compression.
The real question is why is that the case?
The problem with Ayan is that he listens too much.
He listens to everyone and ends up making a khichdi.
WUS and YJHD were his stories, his voice.
Brahmastra 1 became a khichdi for this reason alone, and I hope he doesn’t do the same again.
From watching our fathers share meals and laughter to now, four decades later, coming together to tell one of the greatest epics of all time… it’s been quite a journey.
I have witnessed your journey closely. The highs, the setbacks, the quiet resilience, and the way you’ve stayed so grounded through it all, both on and off screen.
There was never a doubt in my mind. There is no one better to portray Lord Rama. You are, without doubt, the finest actor of our generation.
Being named among @TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 feels absolutely deserving. It’s great to see the world finally take notice of you and your talent.
This is just the beginning, my friend. More power to you.
