The man has been telling us since 2018 that celebrity changed his relationship with ordinary freedom. Then he gets one night where he can go out with his friend, listen to musicians he knows and grew up hearing, laugh, dance and enjoy himself, and people immediately turn the night into a referendum on his morality.

You don’t have to approve of where he went.

But there’s something deeply contradictory about listening to a man spend years telling us “I want room to be Jung Hoseok too” and then responding to an ordinary night out by demanding that j-hope report back and explain himself.
