Emergency time
Long story short my home was auctioned without me even knowing and I just have a month to move out and find a new place.
Any help is appreciated

Fallout 4 is so funny because its trying to this thematic subversion of the story they did in 3 AND NV's faction war at the same time and it ends up a complete mess
A really weird quirk of this game is that when playing the Institute route there's no evidence whatsoever that the Institute is actually doing this. A sort of bizarre deutercanonical fork where what the Institute's actual plan is retroactively depends on you joining them, or not.
underrated classic vs a film where action choreography is trying so hard to ape the Bourne-style shakey cam style but doesn't get how important maintaining eye flow and geography is so its just an incomprehensible mess
People keep talking about Somerton faking his death but what gets me is that in the small period before everyone figured it out, there were folks seriously trying to push the narrative that Hbomb intentionally pushed a man to suicide by exposing his plagiarism lol
People keep going "oh but its ok to admit a movie sucks" that's not the issue here idiots. One of Hbomb's issues has always been that he has to go "oh but this is objectively x" like he has to read off of some disclaimer because he's too embarrassed to just like something
reminds me of that one time he talked about the tf86, and he pretty much started off by saying "this movie sucks" before going into why he loves it, complete with a philosophical and thematic analysis. you could tell he was just really embarrassed about liking a kids movie
I feel kinda sad about He-man, because unlike a lot of the big 80s cartoon stuff that's been able to keep themselves going, it's firmly just stuck. I wonder if its because the big darker, grittier push with the 00s reboot just did NOT work
@nise_yoshimi Its almost kinda generational in how great Casino Royale was only for it to all lead to a movie with the objectively worst Blofeld of all time
Its really funny when you look at interviews with Hamaguchi and you find out the reason why this series developed so fast its basically because they saw UE5 and went nah
The thing about this series is that its genuinely just not something you see in gaming anymore. It's one consistent story told in a serialized format with an extremely high budget that iterates and expands on each release without compromising itself. Released in a short period
Holy fucking shit. No. It NEVER was a superhero deconstruction. It never was meant as a superhero deconstruction. If anything it's probably the first earnest take on superheroes in years.
it’s interesting how both the Republic and Confederacy lacked an army drawn from their own populace. not only does that change the civilian experience of war, it’s also fundamentally undemocratic. when your army has no investment in democracy, they have no incentive to defend it.
Star Wars is the perfect case study in how the streaming model and the MCU basically pushed this shift from tiered supplementary material to putting everything on the same level as the main product just, on the regular, erodes brand integrity more than anything else
for forty years there were just six star wars films. at one point, something new from star wars had an air of mystery about it. then disney took over and churned out so much shit in a decade that no one cares anymore.
Whenever it tries to do anything interesting or new, it ALWAYS course corrects and doubles down on the same old bullshit. It, no joke, insists upon itself
Its so funny how cool and out there this whole arc was, but since people were still weirded out by the Vong and salty about Chewie they basically tossed out everything this arc did so we can turn Jacen into store brand Anakin
It's crazy how "The Yuuzhan Vong Arc" really is some of the greatest Star Wars ever made but pretty much entirely for different reasons than people usually bring up.
Big part of the reason why I adore KOTOR 2 so much is that it nails a central flaw endemic to Star Wars; long before Disney's buyout, or hell arguably from the very start, Star Wars has always vehemently resisted doing anything remotely new or interesting.
