As part of the Town Manager Report, Russ Forrest gave an update on some next steps with the sister city relationship with St. Anton after a highly successful visit. He also mentioned targetted enforcement of the Dismount Zone in Vail Village.
Langmaid also thanked everyone for efforts on the St. Anton visit as well as the GoPro Games. She also reiterated the message on bear awareness. Finally, she asked if there was support for looking into what other jurisdictions do regarding the sale of furs.
Foley mentioned an upcoming council discussion on the Dobson Ice Arena. He also reminded people to adhere to the wildlife protection regulations and keep trash inside until collection day, plus use bear-proof containers.
Coggin noted a letter in the Vail Daily regarding the Park Act, which would allow permanent rock climbing fixtures in wilderness areas, which is of concern.
