It’s always funny to watch American politicians have such tantrums about this when America itself uses the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) to heavily scrutinise any domestic group receiving foreign funding to ensure it’s not acting as a front for foreign interests. 

The States also completely bans foreign funding in its elections and political processes to protect its democracy. 

The FCRA in India is built on the exact same logic - i.e. ensuring external money cannot be used to alter India’s social, political or demographic landscape. 

Foreign funding isn’t a basic human right.

It requires immense amount of scrutiny. 

Just because you’re American, doesn’t automatically mean you get to dictate what a sovereign nation does with its domestic laws. 

This tantrum below also ignores the fact that thousands of major Hindu mandirs are already under direct government control.

State governments manage their finances, lands and administration. 

It is a privilege for any minority faith to have their autonomy, and it’s not a given for the majority faith. 

The FCRA amendments are not targeting you.

They are being applied universally to all NGOs and religious charities receiving foreign funds to ensure compliance and prevent money laundering. 

You’re not being attacked.

Your country is being emulated for its stringent national security standards.

You should be flattered.

The 'Hymn of the Pearl' embedded in the Acts of Thomas is a direct and audacious plagiarism of Pañcāvudha Jātaka- an Indian story about a prince of Kāsī being sent by the King and Queen to Takṣaśilā to be trained on a mission. The audacious author of the Pearl actually named this work 'The adventures of Thomas in the land of the Indians'.

The third book is a retelling of multiple infancy stories about the 'Child prodigy' from the Lalitavistara. ‘Humbling the teacher’, prodigious numeracy/literacy, giving life to birds etc.

Dear Congressman Moore, please don't use St Thomas for Geopolitics. It will horribly back fire one day when the source-critical findings of recent research become public knowledge.

In the melee of #CockroachProtests we have not noticed the spectacular failure #BJP media team including ITCell. Total inability to create a narrative to counter hateful well crafted narrative of Left Ecosystem. They didn’t go beyond memes or whataboutry.

Their attention seems to be more on stalking well-wishers who, on some occasions, also criticize BJP honestly & positively, and threatening or abusing them. Harshvardhan ji @MediaHarshVT knows this just like me.
That #Modi ji had to put in his all to retrieve the situation, even make a reel at midnight reflects poorly on BJP communication. My heart breaks. Hence this bitter post.

BJP Media seems to have no connect with the ground, no feedback mechanism obviously, and did not understand youth anger built over months, not just on NEET. NEET was the straw on their back.

People like me speak from field experience, not excel sheets or ppts. My criticism 2024 served BJP wonderfully well.

Yes, I will keep struggling for success of nationalist forces, support BJP but speak up where required. For people like me Nation comes first.

When one watches such videos, one wonders if education system has crumbeld or parenting in India gone wrong or is it an attempt to follow the percieved model of west where abusing is standard norm.
These are exceptions excited on few moments of confidence, will not regret later but convince about the courage it takes to say such filth on camera in public.
The fluency and confidence of language used is not again some grouse but a standard nature.
Fortunately for India, for each such kid there thousand decent young people who affirm my faith in the youth. Hardworking, sincere, respectful and responsible.

➜ Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA) is the law that governs how Indian individuals, associations, NGOs, trusts and companies may receive and use money, securities or articles sent to them from a source outside India. It is administered by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)

What I'm somewhat suspicious about is our potential sale of brahmos to them.

Indonesia has a local Chinese elite who have oversized influence on Indonesian economy and certain strategic sectors in it. They also played important role in Indonesian military/state projects just after indonesia got it's independence.

We need to be cautious there.
