Father, as we approach Election Day in America we come to You in humility laying aside all pride and arrogance. We ask for Your will to be done. We pray that Your plans and purposes for our nation will prevail over the enemy’s plan (Job 42:2). We pray “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on Earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). We pray for an awakening in America.

Jesus is Lord!

Father, we will have no fear of bad news; our hearts are steadfast, trusting in You (Psalm 112:7). As we pray today, may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

May the candidates that will fight for the greatest opportunities for life and liberty in our lives prevail in their elections. Expose evil schemes and bring justice to those who would cheat. Silence the mouths of vile liars in the media and elected and appointed offices.

Protect your people and cast down violent plans to harm others. Do not allow disruptions for the purpose of interference to occur. Let justice win the day! Let every ballot be counted and recorded. Bring deep conviction of responsibility to those working in polling places and those in charge of election counts.

Father, close the mouths of the ignorant and evil that seek not Your ways of truth. Thwart their plans for chaos and confusion. May your Spirit rest upon our land this week! Hover over us and let Your glory be manifested in America. We bind every spirit contrary to you. We break every spell and curse in the authority and name of Jesus Christ!

Continue to work in our hearts today. Give us the words to speak and ears to hear. Give us deep understanding and insight. Grant us wisdom!

Father, reveal Yourself in a mighty way to these candidates. Speak to them and save them. Let the fear of God be upon them like a terror in the night. Come to them in dreams and let wisdom be their counsel. Grant us mercy in this moment, Father. We are submitted to You!

Personal life update:

I have accepted a job at @warstic. I will be their new Digital Marketing Specialist and Content Creator.

I can’t express how excited, thankful, anxious, and motivated I am for this opportunity. Not only do I get to put to use my degree and skills in an industry I am passionate about, but the sport that I fell in love with as a kid is now part of my job. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

On an even more personal note, for many reasons, life has not been easy at all this year.
But in the brokenness, the Lord has been so good.
And in my weakness, His power is perfected.
And in the waiting, He renews my strength.
And when I am in need, He provides.

This is what I have been meditating on lately:

“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’
So we can confidently say,

‘The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me?’”

Thank you, Jesus.
