My Uncle fought in WWII. Lied about his age to join. His ship was bombed & he died at 16. My Dad was just a baby. My Nan received a telegram on the doorstep and grieved without a funeral and with 5 other children to raise. Don’t be afraid to wear a poppy this week. They weren’t.
