Does it even count as a planning adventure if there's not a bike and/or a train involved? Riding @metraBNSF home from Day 2 of @APAIL planning conference #apail23#plannerinthewild
It might have taken us +/- 11 full months to plan it, but the @APAIL Bar Exam did not disappoint! Okay, I mean, the technology was flawed, but we all had fun, learned things, and met other planners. Big thanks to @AncelGlink
The end of any airport terminal is a circle from hell. 6-8 gates all converge assuring it is always crowded and there is constantly an announcement for said gates at different volumes and all through crappy PAs
My coworker lent me a book that she and the local bookshop owner raved about: "a perfect narrative, no wasted words." So as I read, every extra clause or plotless description I think: no wasted words?? It's fiction, none of this is essential! This is why I don't read fiction.
Wanting to early vote, but limited by open hours, I stopped at the Pullman library on my way home yesterday. The electioneers hanging out made it very festive. I was an obvious anomaly at this polling place and everyone was so friendly. Democracy alive and in action!
This is my 6th March in Chicago and the ways are really sinking in bc people elsewhere are all gearing up for St Paddy's Day this weekend and I'm thinking, hasn't that already passed?
