Whenever I’m playing Rook and win my bid, only to realize the predicament I’ve gotten myself and my partner into and how many colors I’ll be holding, I’ll start playing ‘Coat of Many Colors’ on my phone to be funny.
As my Papa was getting older and couldn’t get around much, I would visit with him frequently, and he would always get a kick out of me showing him a clip from an interview that Dolly Parton had with Johnny Carson back in the 70s. Of course, Dolly was very, um…well-endowed, and they poked quite a bit of fun at that. If you haven’t ever seen it, I’ll link to it below. Hopefully you’ll get as much of a laugh out of it as my Papa always did!
When Hallie was born, one of the first things we did was sign her up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Sure enough, a few months later, her first book came in the mail. Just yesterday, I pulled another book out of the mail.
There really are no words to describe how deeply woven into the fabric of our great state Dolly was, and I can think of no better embodiment of who we are as a people.
Above are just a few of ways Dolly touched me personally, and even though I didn’t particularly listen to her music often, there was no escaping her.
Dolly Parton was and will always be…Tennessee.
We are very blessed for Dolly to have called our home…her home, and she will forever be ingrained in our hearts.
May God be with her family during this time.
America just crossed a dangerous milestone: our national debt now exceeds the size of our economy. Washington spends $1.33 for every $1 it takes in, with a $1.9T deficit this year alone. When the bill comes due, expect higher taxes, a weaker dollar, fewer services, a weaker military—and our kids stuck paying for it.
I’ve heard from a lot of folks who are tired of changing the clocks twice a year. That’s why I introduced legislation to keep Tennessee on standard time year round. It’s a simple, common sense change that would be better for our health and daily routines.

Throwback to this amazing movie, Secondhand Lions (2003). The bar fight is one of the best scenes. Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, and Haley Joel Osment give brilliant performances that bring the story to life.
Have you seen it?
Demond Wilson was born in Georgia, was raised a Catholic and was a ballet dancer before becoming an actor. He married a model, had 6 children, was married to her all his life and became a minister. Truly amazing. May his memory be eternal 🙏
In 2000, the average family paid about $6,000 a year for health insurance.
Today, it is nearly $27,000.
That is not inflation. That is Obamacare.
Republicans cannot just oppose it. We have to replace it with something that actually works.
My family and I are at AmericaFest as invited guests.
The people I have met are truly incredible, but the speakers...
...I'm just really disappointed.
A Leftist ass*ssinated Charlie Kirk in front of the world and all conservatives can do is yell at each other on stage.
Charlie is gone.
Not “canceled.”
Not “deplatformed.”
Dead.
And yet somehow a bunch of people have managed to turn the aftermath into a talent show for who can land the sharpest jab on a fellow conservative.
If we can’t pause the ego wars after that… what exactly are we conserving here?
It feels like a lot of these famous podcasters are eating the conservative movement for engagement.
I'm genuinely grossed out by it.
It's gross watching people who claim to love America act like the real enemy is the person sitting two seats to their right.
Charlie built a movement by arguing, persuading, recruiting, showing up on campuses, and pulling people INTO the movement.
And now people on a stage, who clearly despise each other, are yelling at each other and dunking on each other.
Can we just sit with the absurdity of that?
Meanwhile, the people who want us dead aren’t arguing about which one of them is the purest.
They’re organized.
They’re disciplined.
They’re watching the Right turn the microphone on each other.
There’s a difference between iron sharpening iron…
...and stabbing your teammate in the back because it sounds bold and gets claps
I’m new to the conservative movement.
I didn’t grow up in this world.
I’m not “conservative royalty.”
I’m not a strategist.
I’m not a speaker.
I’m not even close to deserving an invited seat at something like this, and I'm grateful to be here.
I have massive imposter syndrome.
I’m the guy who got red-pilled late, who showed up late, and probably still has blind spots I’m probably not even aware of yet.
So I’m not saying this as someone who thinks he has the authority to lecture anyone, I don't.
I'm nobody.
I’m saying this as someone who’s standing here with his family, looking around at people I respect… and just feeling sad.
Sad that a moment that should have made all of us a little more sober, somehow turned into fighting like this.
Maybe I’m naive. Maybe I’m expecting too much.
But I remember what it felt like when I started waking up for the first time...
The insane excitement, the hope, for the FIRST TIME understanding truth...
So I'm BEGGING you, as a newcomer to this movement... DON'T LET THAT DIE.
I know I don’t have the resume to demand anything from this movement.
But I do have eyes.
I can see the difference between leadership and clout-chasing.
And I can see how easy it would be for people...
GOOD PEOPLE...
...to watch us devour each other and just go: “Yeah… I’m out.”
So if I’m wrong... fine.
I'll take the heat, I'm still learning and I know very little.
But I feel like the least we can do is not make Charlie's legacy a backdrop for petty infighting and instead act like we are movement worth joining without fear of being excommunicated for getting it wrong.
