Interesting news from Teako Minerals $TMIN.CN CEO Sven Gollan and for the whole of Norway!
Norway is on the verge of a large exploration rush in the coming years no doubt..
$TMIN.cn #copper#zinc#silver in #Norway
The miners left Norway in the 1970/80s/90s to make the big money #offshore in #oil & #gas. They absolutely did the right thing based on the #commodity prices back in the days!
The by far most amazing part happened after his: They never returned.
Yet the shiny rocks are still here.
This is nothing new to anyone following our story. It is undoubtedly part of Teako's mission to bring the miners back.
On our journey with the We Are Outliers 🇬🇧team, we travelled through the 3 counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet and Møre og Romsdal, based on our current main projects and available time (and, oh boy, I would love to do the same in other counties such as Nordland, Troms, and Telemark).
Traces of the former mining industry can be found at every second corner in the municipalites we visited. When you talk to the local people, there's a good chance they have a connection to it through their own family history.
Nevertheless, one of the challenges in our daily work is that while people accept that cars are becoming increasingly electric, TV screens larger, and cell phones smaller (and perhaps smarter - I'm not so sure about that), for some reason they still view #mining as something that works exactly the same way it did 50 years ago. Things have changed quite a bit in this industry too – I know that our VP of Exploration, Freddie Duncalf, has a lot to say about that.
However, this general perception is changing rapidly. Just recently, 6 municipalities in the northern part of the County of Innlandet - Os, Tolga, Tynset, Alvald, Folldal, and Rendalen - presented their regional development strategy, which is based on 3 pillars: #hydropower/energy, #IT/data centers, and - drumroll, please - #minerals/mining.
Not a single project is shovel-ready yet, but all of these municipalities are ready today to bring mining back as one of their 3 pillars of regional development for the very near future.
When (not if) the miners return, based on my own experiences in Norway over the past few years, I'm absolutely convinced that it will be a very strong return, built precisely on these *local* developments. From the outset, Teako has worked closely and actively with the local communities, all of which operate quickly and efficiently along our part of the value chain. At this level, there is a clear interest in collaboration and progress.
Norway offers far more than just its 'well-known deposits', which are known for many decades – and that is precisely our main motivation. The local mineral potential is outstanding; we simply need the work done properly to unleash this potential. That's exactly what we do, together with the locals, the municipalities, the company owners (aka shareholders) and our Teako Team.
Looking back at the aforementioned traces of the past: Many towns only exist thanks to a mine – here is a very, very subtle sign from a place 25m from the town hall (hello Folldal Kommune!💪) on the main street:
$TMIN.cn #copper#zinc#silver
There is a mineralized place in Central Norway, right on the border to Sweden, called Gruvsjøen.
It was discovered in 1690 and at that time the final land border between Norway and Sweden had not yet been determined. Both the Norwegians and the Swedes believed that Gruvsjøen was on their side of the border and royal commissions were appointed from both sides to decide who had the right to this ore. The national border was first set in 1751 and to this day Gruvsjøen is on the Norwegian side (as it should be), about 2.5 km as the crow flies from the border.
At that time, they were disputing over an area 7m long, 4m wide and 5m deep, which contained interesting but small amounts of copper, lead and cobalt...
Another look back: 3 years ago today, Teako Minerals Norway was founded.
Previously, we had considered establishing the company in British Columbia/#Canada, #Finland and #Norway. My family and I lived in #Sweden for almost two months to also explore this possibility.
What we saw in Norway made us forget everything else.
Norway's geological potential, excellent infrastructure, and extensive historical data, combined with the fact that Norwegians had basically ignored their #mineral #wealth for almost 50 years in favor of #oil and #gas, led us to reconsider our focus.
So we decided to enter Norway, to make no prisoners in doing so, and to secure as much prospective land as possible. This process continues to this day.
Exactly 3 years ago, Teako Minerals was a company with an interesting project in British Columbia, an incoming drill program at the same place, and initial efforts to gain a foothold in Norway. Nothing else.
We learned quickly, and today Teako Minerals is the leading exploration company in Norway. We have:
...multiple #copper-#zinc-#cobalt-#silver VMS portfolios
...a #gold portfolio
...a #silver portfolio
...a #tungsten portfolio
...a #uranium portfolio
...a #REE portfolio
And we are currently working on additional portfolio structures.
We have sold 9 projects to date while keeping a serious interest in these. That's more projects than most other companies in our industry own in total.
Teako Minerals is not your average exploration company. We secure and manage a large portfolio while simultaneously conducting intensive exploration.
Teako doesn't have a flagship project on which the company's fate depends. With nearly 80 local projects, Norway is our flagship project.
It's been a while since Mark @Mk1Invest and I met in a cabin on Norway's west coast to write up Teako's mission. And while we're still waiting for a royal commission from Sweden to visit Nordland, Trøndelag, or Innlandet and start arguing with us, we'll continue to expand and improve our portfolio of valuable mineral assets to secure local supply chains for the future.
We love exploration.
We love Norway.
We are Teako.

I've been thinking a lot about mobility lately.
Within Norway, I’ve travelled so far about twice as far for work as I would on a round-the-world trip. Mostly by car (primarily in one of my beloved Nissan Navaras), but also often by plane and even once by train. And yes, Canadians might see it differently, but Norway is a big country.
Anyway, I'm not talking about that kind of mobility. I'm talking about the mobility of raw materials, of #minerals.
What is the real value of a barrel of #oil in a desert region that sometimes cannot be transported because a war breaks out every few years?
What is the real value of #REE (rare earth elements) if you first have to clear 50 kilometers of vibrant jungle for an access road?
What is the real value of a pound of #copper somewhere in a random steppe where you have to build a runway just to begin project development?
What is the real value of an ounce of #gold from a region where it feels like a new government comes to power every two weeks, likely after one of the usual military coups, and potentially restricting access to your project?
One of the most discussed topics in our conversations with potential project partners over the past few weeks and months is not just about the price levels, the overall market volatility or the general trends of minerals, nor the global scarcity or general demand for #metals.
It's about the locations. And about the mobility that depends heavily on these locations. Mobility for exploration programs. Mobility for mining operations. Mobility you can rely on.
In my view, Europe - and Scandinavia in particular - has a unique opportunity to take a leading role in a matter of long-term global importance or, as in so many other areas over the past few decades, to be left behind. It's not about opportunities - those are obvious for anyone who cares to take a deeper look - but about a serious decision that we all have to make here in the "old world."
Yes, I'm biased, but what's stopping Norway from becoming a major supplier of various base and industrial metals, in addition to oil and gas? When we talk to the entities and people who matter most to us (apart from our company owners, of course): to the municipalities and locals in Norway, the answer is clear. Nothing is holding us back. We can do it.
This is a huge motivation for us. We look forward to working with everyone who shares this view, with all stakeholders and investors, with all project partners and competitors. 🇳🇴 🤝 ⛏️To establish local and secure supply chains for minerals.

Almost every post from our industry these days revolves around a specific conference in a specific city in a specific country - O Canada! - followed by a photo of handsome people in suits.
Unfortunately, we can't offer that here in Teakoland.
Although we have friends and supporters at this conference, the usual winter storm ruins our hairstyles almost daily, our eyes are heavy from lack of sleep, and the late-winter slush makes our shoes very dirty. Not exactly photogenic.
But I can post a nice picture of my mobile office, which has more or less been my home for the past few weeks. It takes me everywhere, whether it's below -20°C or a small blizzard is raging. My reliable friend on studded tires.
Hamar, Skotterud, Kirkenær, Dalen, Skei, Svorkmo, Orkanger, Trondheim, Malvik, Selbu, Stjørdal, Tynset, Røros, Mosjøen, Hattfjelldal, Mo i Rana, Fauske, Bodø. The number of local meetings and site visits by Team Teako already exceeds that of last year. All in preparation for the upcoming events and developments in 2026 and 2027.
I've just finished a meeting with local 🇧🇻 shareholders and am once again deeply impressed by my co-owners in our small company: genuine investors who aren't motivated by exorbitant tax benefits and full warrants - O Canada! - but by the deep desire to build a real business, to create something special, something lasting. And we all love mineral exploration.

Yes, the Northern Lights are beautiful in all their forms. But they are only a very small part of the tingling sensation that comes over me every time I get in the car and drive to northern #Norway. There is a certain fascination with ‘going north’ that has not lost its appeal even after all these years in this wonderful country.
Another part of my fascination: the north – and the County of Nordland in particular – is home to a significant part of our @TeakoMinerals Project Hub, with an astonishing diversity of mineral occurrences: #copper, #zinc, #silver, #gold, #uranium, #thorium, #REE, #tungsten and many more.
On our never-ending journey to meet and talk to stakeholders, there will be some highlights these days. This communication is an essential part of demonstrating, leveraging and ultimately optimising the value of the Project Hub in the short, medium and long term.
And what could be better than having the county, the municipalities, the national geological institute, exploration & mining companies and other stakeholders working together on site to advance exploration and bring mining back after many decades.
In this context, allow me to present our current office with a view:

Teako is pleased to announce the laboratory results from its lithogeochemical sampling program at its 100%-owned Venna #copper - #cobalt - #zinc VMS main project in central Norway 🇧🇻
Highlights from the press release 👇
· Three high-priority VMS targets have been identified for follow-up work: Nævra, Heingruva, and Storslåtten.
· The Nævra Target has been identified through a cluster of sulfide and trace element enriched samples over ~1.2 km within the ironworks trend, with potential indications of hydrothermal replacement at the target.
· The Heingruva Target in the ironworks trend is highlighted by four samples showing a hydrothermal exhalative composition, including two with prospective indicators of a proximal hot hydrothermal vent source.
· The Storslåtten Target in the southern magnetic trend contains geochemical and textural indicators of hydrothermal stringer veins along strike of a geophysical (airborne electromagnetic) anomaly stretching over ~2.2 km.
· The previously identified Sandsve high-grade Cu occurrence is situated to the west and along strike of the Storslåtten Target in the southern magnetic trend, suggesting a potential connection to buried massive sulfide mineralization in the area.

Today we have news about $TMIN.cn #copper#zinc#gold
I would like to focus on one aspect here: I am particularly proud of the great work done by our dedicated geo team, Freddie Duncalf, Harry Guest, Hendrik Ebel and Aidan Crilly, which has driven forward the 292 km² Venna project. This work has been extremely effective in 2024 and 2025 – both in terms of time and money, and in terms of the information gathered, which is being added to our ever-growing database of projects across #Norway.
Venna was and undoubtedly is a main focus of Teako. We are now waiting for the lab results (although we have already had a small preview with our own pXRF) so that we can integrate them into our model and publish them.
As we can be sure of the support and interest of the municipalities of Malvik, Selbu and Stjørdal, I believe that this project has the potential to be developed very smoothly. Combined with the existing infrastructure – several deap-sea ports, the E6 motorway, the Værnes Airport, the local road network and the railway – this is undoubtedly one of the best locations for our work as an #mineral #exploration company – and also for any future #mining company.
We have every intention of accelerating work in this area based on our geological model, the results and the general prospects for this region. Consider this project a favourite of mine.

Teako announces the successful completion of its 2025 field program at the Løkken and Venna copper-cobalt-zinc main projects in central Norway, which has led to the development of a significant new massive sulfide target in the Mostadmarka Ironworks area at the Venna project.
The area contains extensive formations of jaspers and quartz-magnetite cherts (>20km cumulative strike length) interpreted to be distal indicators of Cu-rich massive sulfide deposits.
At the Løkken project, field crews completed mapping and sampling programs. In additon, a full structural assessment of drill core and target areas was conducted as part of an MSc research project in collaboration with Cardiff University.
