O nouă țintă aeriană care evolua în proximitatea frontierei cu România, a fost detectată în dimineața zilei de miercuri, 14 octombrie, de sistemul de supraveghere radar al Ministerului Apărării Naționale.

Centrul Național Militar de Comandă a notificat Inspectoratul General pentru Situații de Urgență în vederea instituirii măsurilor de alertare a populației din estul și nordul  județului Tulcea, iar la ora 10.19 a fost transmis un mesaj RO-Alert.
Două aeronave F-16 ale Forțelor Aeriene Române, de la Baza 86 Aeriană Borcea, au fost ridicate de la sol.
Ținta a evoluat pentru scurt timp în spațiul aerian național, în zona de est a localității Sulina, deasupra Mării Negre, după care a intrat în spațiul aerian ucrainean, unde a fost doborâtă de apărarea antiaeriană a Ucrainei.

Alerta aeriană a încetat la ora 11.22.

A very substantive meeting with President of France @EmmanuelMacron. We appreciate that France is helping as much as possible to find ways to respond to Russian escalation.

During our meeting, Russia launched yet another vile drone strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure in Lutsk. There are power outages in the city. Unfortunately, this kind of blatant and vile Russian terror has been taking place almost constantly these days. Russia has demonstratively disregarded the American President’s proposal for an energy ceasefire. And now it is taking advantage of problems with Starlink operations to cause maximum destruction to everything that sustains everyday life.

Emmanuel and I discussed various ways to counter this. In particular, new packages to strengthen our combat aviation will be provided this month. We are also accelerating work on European anti-ballistic defense – FREYJA needs to become operational by the end of the year. I am grateful to Emmanuel – all the weaponry production licenses France promised Ukraine have already been obtained. It is important to implement this promptly at the team level. Thank you, France!

We never communicate what we will do next in our operations. Last night, we did not attack any energy facilities on the territory of Russia because President Trump said that there would be an energy ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. Overall, 25 people were killed in this massive Russian strike on Ukraine. One hundred people were injured. It was a combined attack, involving many ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as “shaheds.” This is the kind of “gift” Putin gave himself for his birthday.

Ukrainian warriors shot down 44 missiles – both cruise and ballistic. Not all of those launched by Russia, and ballistic missiles are especially difficult to deal with. We suppressed 117 “shaheds” – most of those launched, but unfortunately, not all of them either.

Additional packages of air defense missiles are needed, as are additional measures to support Ukraine. And there will be appropriate packages. The threat is there every day, and every day, our air defense batteries need to have missiles ready. We strongly count on prompt deliveries from our partners.

Romania transferred a full Patriot system to Ukraine, which is already defending Ukrainian cities from missiles and drones, and also joined the joint NATO initiative to supply interceptor missiles for these systems. Millions of tons of Ukrainian grain passed through the port of Constanța when Russian ships blocked the Black Sea.
Romania took in hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians seeking shelter, opened corridors for humanitarian aid and military supplies, and provided support in packages that were barely mentioned officially.

Romania strongly condemns the latest missile and drone attacks conducted by the armed forces of the Russian Federation against civilians in the city of Kramatorsk today.

The killing of dozens of innocent civilians, including children, and the senseless destruction caused are barbaric actions, deeply distressing and utterly unjustifiable.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and all those affected by this horrendous attack.

📈 Let us judge it by the contracts signed, investments launched, joint ventures created, exports increased and partnerships that continue to grow in the years ahead.

As Ambassador, my message to the business communities of both countries is very simple.

Romania is open for Pakistani business. Pakistan offers real opportunities for Romanian companies. The doors are open. Now it is time to walk through them.

🌍 Let us move from potential to partnership, and from partnership to prosperity.
