Tshova Mubaiwa: Bulawayo's Oldest Taxi Association! 🇿🇼
Bulawayo boasts three major public transport associations: Tshova Mubaiwa, BUPTA (Bulawayo United Public Transport Association), and VUTA (Vuka Uzimele Transport Association). Among them, Tshova Mubaiwa is the oldest, established in 1986. From its inception, the association built its foundation on compliance with national laws, strict safety standards, and a deep respect for its passengers.

World Cup without a dish?
Zimbabweans have a few legal ways to watch this year. Some need equipment, some are streaming-only, some offer selected games, and others promise all 104.
There may also be a cheaper route than many expect.
Here are the options.
I think our minds (maybe just mine) are exposed to too much information. I highly doubt the human brain was designed to process so much data as much as we do today.
You scroll for five minutes and you get updates on the World Cup, the war in ukraine, 15 perish in an accident, Diddy sex tape, CAB 3, Arsenal win the league etc.
As a result, I think we become sort of numb and lack the energy to react even to the things that matter. Too many headlines taking up spice in our minds, too many varied emotions express over a short amount of time.
You start with "oh no, 10 people died!" until you get to "oh that's life." Scary times. Everything around us is programming us to not care and really just scroll and get by, day after day.
I'm sure Sir Wicknell's Victor can now afford a really dope house by now.
Coz you can't be seen selling all those cars and not be known as Victor wemba nyama 🏠
No forethought went into this tweet though,
.... it's s just a Spur of the moment.
The biggest privilege of my life yet 🙏🏽❤️
My career has so many highs. The Premier League, Champions League, Europa league, Super League Rubgy, England Cricket, County Cricket, to mention only a few.
Each of those have been very special. For the years of graft it took, the magnitude of the investment in both myself (school, tutorials, etc) as well as gear.
But shooting the Zimbabwe national football team, for the Zimbabwe Football Association, was up there and beyond the dreams I have always had.
I have nothing but gratitude for the very nice guys at @online_zifa that helped make this happen. The players and staff who were so amazing with me from the very first day - never once making me feel like an outsider.
My journey to becoming a professional sports snapper in the world’s biggest leagues has been a long one. I have been one for a while now. I often sign off at big stages by saying “the little boy from Zvishavane”. Or “from Zvishavane to (wherever I will be)”.
For this, I sign off with, “for my Dad and country” 🇿🇼!
The Parable of the Mexican Fisherman.
An American investment banker was at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna.
The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.
The Mexican replied, “only a little while.”
The American then asked why didn’t he stay out longer and catch more fish?
The Mexican said he had enough to support his family’s immediate needs.
The American then asked, “but what do you do with the rest of your time?”
The Mexican fisherman said, “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, and stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life.”
The American scoffed. “I have an MBA from Harvard, and can help you,” he said.
“You should spend more time fishing, and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat.
With the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats, and eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats.
Instead of selling your catch to a middle-man, you could sell directly to the processor, eventually opening up your own cannery.
You could control the product, processing, and distribution,” he said.
“Of course, you would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then Los Angeles, and eventually to New York City, where you will run your expanding enterprise.”
The Mexican fisherman asked, “But, how long will this all take?”
To which the American replied, “Oh, 15 to 20 years or so.”
“But what then?” asked the Mexican.
The American laughed and said, “That’s the best part. When the time was right, you would announce an IPO, and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions!”
“Millions – then what?”
The American said, “Then you could retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you could sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, and stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play guitar with your amigos.”
Life is often simpler than we make it.
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
we’re writing articles people on the ground can’t even read, films they will never watch, clothes they can’t wear, music they don’t even give a shit about almost as if those lived experiences are fodder or something
The act of writing is an act of thinking, making meaning, and cognitive and creative flourishing.
The biggest risk of delegating work to AI is at the learning stage. Struggle is how skills get encoded-- whether searching for the right word or phrase, or wrestling with a complex problem. AI producing the result faster robs beginners of the opportunity to become experts.
Beneath the surface, results are also often not as good for novice writers. An analysis of 370,000 college student essays found that human-written essays contain 8X more novel ideas than those generated by A.I. Though AI works often contain more flowery language, story lines are more homogeneous and lack distinctive ideas.
