Here is a taste of the type of simple distorted sounds you can create with QGR. A simple sustain with the distortion turned on and some extra added harmonic feedback.

THOUGHTS OF BIRDS MW:
This instrument patch is made out of regular guitar sustains as well as rolls with a short decay. You can use the Modwheel to increase the intensity of the rolls. The delay and reverb help coat the sound making it feel and sound more atmospheric.
