@HeyJudyH It’s a bit scary at first, especially if you don’t know what it is. I put a pie tin down with a little bit of sugar water to just cover the bottom of the pan (so they don’t drown!).
They’re usually gone by the next day.
We all get tired and need some rest sometimes. 💖

When you see something like this, don't be afraid, don't call the firefighters or the police, don't move and don't kill them.

These are just bees traveling and stopping for just 24 hours.

Don't disturb them and avoid getting close to them, they won't hurt you.

If you want to help, put a flat plate or tray with some sugar water.

Bees will eat, gain energy and fly away.

We all need to protect migratory bees, they are our survival insurance.

Without bees, there will be no humans on earth. 🐝🧡

The full moon in October is the Harvest Moon, also known as the Hunter's Moon. It will occur on Monday, October 6th & will also be the first supermoon of the year, making it larger & brighter than usual.
It's the full moon closest to the autumn equinox, traditionally used by farmers to gather crops & by hunters to prepare for winter.

This is why you don’t kill black snakes / king snakes. King snakes are constrictors and resistant to copperhead, rattlesnake, & cottonmouth venom, which is precisely why venomous snakes are easy prey for them. They can easily overpower venomous species.
Your property is MUCH safer with these snakes allowed to police it.

@JoslinDiabetes needs proof of diagnosis.
It’s been 50 years.
Family are gone, all of the doctors are gone, & at 6 months old I couldn’t tell you the name of the hospital. 😞
Children with Diabetes awarded me a medal.
For that, I’m truly grateful because it hasn’t been an easy accomplishment. 🙏

50 Years! 🪅🥳🪅
Today celebrates my 50th Anniversary of surviving Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
Over the 50 years, it’s had its ups and downs. However, this is such a great time to be alive.
The human race has advanced so much in medicine and technololy. It’s so much easier to take better care of ourselves.
In 1975, most medical staff would have no hope for a T1D to live beyond 30 or 40 years from diagnosis. But many of us have proven them wrong. We’ve done this by staying positive, staying away from negativity, keeping up with the research, and by having hope for a cure.
I hope to reach my 75 year celebration. But I also hope it’s a celebration because a cure is found.
I’m grateful to God, friends who have supported me, and to the friends who have become family.
Without them, I could not have gotten this far. 🙏
Happy Anniversary to all celebrating such a wonderful accomplishment! We have so much to celebrate, especially a beautiful life. 💖
