The first VITT-led ITAP took place last week, offering trainees from VIAT and @CanterburyCCUni a rich and inspiring programme. Hosted across several VIAT schools, the week featured seminars, lesson observations, and activities focused on AfL.

In July, VITT welcomed our 2024/25 School Direct trainees at an induction day hosted by VIPS Holborough Lakes. The day focused on pedagogy, collaboration, and essential teaching skills. Trainees engaged in activities, gained confidence, and left inspired with ideas for September!

Our most recent Leadership and Management session explored how we lead through change, exploring why it is necessary to change and challenges which can and will be faced.

We enjoyed a very successful Leadership and Management session, where our participants had the opportunity to discuss their individual projects with members of the SLT from across the trust. We are looking forward to seeing the final projects at the end of the academic year.

Colleagues on the VITT Leadership & Management training course met last week to discuss ongoing school-based projects, offer advice and share ideas to support one other. We were delighted to mark the midway point of the Leadership course and look forward to further collaboration.

Starting Term 2 with our ECT training. Many ECTs from across The Trust came to SST Maidstone for their first session of the new term and all worked together to plan for the term ahead!

What a brilliant turnout for the VITT SEN meeting last night. It was brilliant to see 35 members of Valley Invicta Academies Trust staff there to develop their knowledge!

Last night, we had a training session for our fantastic Schools Direct and teaching apprentices, focusing on how to apply for jobs and how to put together a high quality CV.
The session went brilliantly and the feedback so far has been great too!
