Dear Barry,
There are some people you watch in Big Brother and, before you even realise it, they become part of the fabric of the season.
Barry was one of those people.
You came into this house and became a familiar face. A person we got used to seeing, listening to, laughing with, watching, sometimes wondering what was going on in your head 😂 and slowly, without even trying, you became part of our experience.
Barry, you were the heart of this season.
There was something about your presence that made the season feel fuller. You became one of those people whose absence would have been felt. You were woven into so many of the little moments.
You gave us your own version of this experience.
You didn’t have to be the biggest personality in the room to leave a mark. You didn’t have to force moments or constantly remind us that you were there.
You were simply Barry.
And over these weeks, we got to know that person a little more.
We saw your competitive side. We saw your softer side. We saw your friendships, your disagreements, your laughter, your uncertainty, your confidence and those moments when you were simply existing in that house, figuring things out as you went.
You had moments where you surprised us.
And you had moments where you probably surprised yourself too.
But through all of it, you remained part of this story.
You were seen.
You were heard.
You will be remembered.
Thousands of people watched you become a little more comfortable, a little more open and a little more yourself as the days passed.
There will be people outside who will tell you what they loved about you. People who will tell you what they didn’t like. People who will analyse every decision you made and every word you said.
But before all of that noise begins, I hope you take a moment to appreciate yourself.
Because it takes courage to walk into that house.
It takes courage to allow strangers to watch you live.
It takes courage to be vulnerable, to be judged, to be misunderstood and still keep showing up every day.
And you did.
So thank you, Barry.
Thank you for the laughs.
Thank you for the conversations.
Thank you for the little moments that may have seemed insignificant while they were happening but became part of what made this season what it was.
Thank you for being one of the people we got to know.
Thank you for giving us a version of yourself that we will carry with us long after now
I hope life outside this house is kind to you.

You discover that my lectures are on Price Delivery and still, you think you hear me promise that you'll profit.

The longer you have selective hearing, the more frustrating the learning curve is. You aren't expected to profit, you haven't learned who you are, but you want me to promise that you'll make money.

No, that is not how this works.

Those who come here with that mindset and hear me say "I can't promise you profitability", take offense as if I am the reason.

When they didn't work on themselves honestly, appreciate the risk and work required.
