My view on Berkshire Hathaway’s huge cash position:
Berkshire Hathaway is a One Trillion Dollar market cap company. To move the needle in their performance numbers they have to invest a sizeable amount per company.
that means, India will add roughly 40 trillion dollars in the market cap, that means we are talking about 40,000 unicorns level of market cap to be added in India eco system. Our job is to find few of these success stories in the time to come and our portfolio will do well.
Over the next few decades, India is going to grow at that rate so the stock market will grow from current 4.5 trillion dollars to 45 trillion dollars over the next 30 years,
3. Don’t lose patience as markets have their own way of working and in some time we will be out of the current market level.
4. Don’t watch every day portfolio movements, focus on the long term goals.
India’s long term potential:
Over the past 40 years, India’s gdp has grown over 6% per annum and continues to do that. So this is a good track record for our country and the stock markets have grown in line with that trend.
4. Invest in tranches over a period of time, 20% every month in 5 steps
5. To have a diversified portfolio.
Things not to do:
1.Don’t try to time the market by waiting for the exact bottom.
2.Don’t focus too much on the macro.
My recent Interview with RadioCity on How to navigate through the current stock market conditions: Indian market valuations are now looking attractive so we can start taking positions step by step in undervalued high growth companies.
Things to do:
will start growing.
3.Stay focused on your strengths and act accordingly. So if you got success in a particular industry, try to find good companies in that industry which is in your circle of competence.
it was a good time to start investing. Markets had a bull run for the next 4.5 years now for the past 1.5 years markets are sideways so this is looking a good time to invest.
2.Focus on the individual companies fundamentals, when the market stabilise then the good companies
1. Stay confident on the long term India growth story and as India grows, the stock markets will also grow. These type of market corrections have been there in the past as well, 6 years back due to Covid, we had a similar downturn in the market and now in retrospect we can see
